Yeah those are the ones it came with. Maybe just a Toyota Canada thing, just like the lack of rear parking sensors? Or maybe I should have had a peek at the 2019 on the lot to see if they got swapped out. Not that it really matters, one of the first things I did was swap em out for some Huskyliners.

I’m not claiming to be an audiophile or anything but I have used that before on my last truck in certain spots and it will work, however, it’s a different type of material, foam vs butyl. If I remember right, the foam is good for just sound deadening whereas butyl is better for vibrations/rattles and a bit of sound deadening, so each has its purpose.

The way I used that 150mil last time was putting it on top of the 80mil butyl I had already laid down. I only used it on the rear wall and under the carpet in places where it wouldn’t be too thick. I think that is how you ideally use it but again, I could be wrong.

You could use the foam on the plastic weather barrier and maybe around the speaker but I would think that foam really wants to stay dry for optimum lifespan so keep it in the dry places only. I can also see it losing its adhesive backing if any moisture got underneath it. The butyl is basically like tarpaper so it is better suited for the inner door and anyplace that might get wet.

    Just my .02!

That's a rear window switch blank isn't it? Does that accept regular buttons too? Or if you add any more do you plan on relocating your window switch over there from the center?

Also, I like the look of the Redarc there and how it fits in. Definitely going that route next time!

Yes, the regular small blank fits in. Still considering moving the rear window over to there. All mods are on hold until the wife goes back to teaching in the fall.

That might not be a bad idea to move it over there. Closer to arms reach for some, I am sure. I'd like to relocate the USB port for the radio. Why there is only one port that leaves a cable running all over the place is poor design.
Thinking of pushing the usb port back through the trim and hiding it and running a USB cable to the console armrest and have it pop out there. So it is cleaner.

Installed the MESO Red Start/Stop button, black surround ring and the black rings for the Climate Control Knobs. Now the 4WD selector sticks out....

I added these a few weeks ago, too.

Very nice, Mark! I am debating on doing the black TRD with small font. I want large font though :/

Side note, I found out that the truck has remote start now :) I have missed that dearly.

Those black rings look clean! Definitely need the 4x4 now.

I tried out some of those letters too.
I bought the green ones that don’t really match.

I stayed with the red for the sill protectors and glove box. Pretty much everything else I'm going to go with black.

If it helps, Apple makes a 1 foot cord that doesn’t really get in the way. You can see it in this pic

I detailed the whole kit and kaboodle:eek: armor all’ed the inside, leather conditioned the seats, rain-x windows, then gave her a wash and then a rub down with a Mother’s clay bar and then one layer of Mother’s cleaner wax and then one layer of Meguiars NXT 2.0. I did this over two days. It’s cleaner then when I bought it and the wax is crazy good looking. Like glass:D
The only thing that I didn’t clean was the engine compartment. Hmmm...:stirthepot:

I'm planning on getting a Leer 100 series topper eventually and have been debating whether to get stiffeners as well. Anything make you decide you should have them, or just more of a CYA thing? Do you plan on loading it up a lot on top where you are worried about the extra weight?

I have the Leer 100XQ coming and I’m thinking about a RTT but haven’t decided on anything yet. Really it’s a CYA thing for the price but I’ve also been down some rocky, very wobbly roads so I wanted to make sure it was rigid.

@BangosTaco It’s just a better shifting experience, the Pro knob belongs in a Lego set or something. Glad I could help!

Thanks, but I have an Android and USB C haha. I do have a 3 foot cable. Not too bad. But I've decided to move it into the center console
