Was the through hole sized correctly? That can cause this issue to occur as well.

Did the dealer coat the frame? Mine was checked back in Feb. No perforations but need to get coated. The dealer put me on a waiting list. Checked two weeks ago and they said someone will call when it’s my turn.

I drew up the hole based on the PEM fasteners website and suggested hole size, that's not to say that the laser operator who cut it didn't have the kerf set incorrectly, but even then it should only be about 0.002" off (though that can make a slight difference). It'll work, it's fine, if need be I'll tack the back end since the nuts wont ever bottom out on the thread. That being said this isn't how I would send out a part to a paying customer, unacceptable for an actual product, but for my needs....I'll be the only person who it'll bother.

Though I may actually walk by and see it every day then lose sleep over it....XD.

No, I am out of warranty and haven’t received any letter regarding my frame from the dealer.

This was done by a local business and came out great in my opinion.

Salt and calcium chloride is prevalent here in the North during the winter months. Had a fluid film type coating not been applied the undercarriage would have looked much worse. Kudos for doing what you could to mitigate the damage.

Now if we were out West they'd use volcanic rock instead of salt. Of course than we would just have to replace windshields every year.

Unless you live where there's no snow all you can do is do the best you can. Not everyone has a wash with an undercarriage wash available near them. I'm very fortunate that I have several near by. A bit pricey but when it gets sloppy here I'm there.

Who did it for you? I did my own last year with Woolwax, but might pay someone this year.

Rust Check in Portland. There is also one in Bangor. I highly recommend their work.

I am lucky the rust was on the ‘normal’ areas (weld seams and hardware) and hadn’t gotten beyond that!

Installed ARB Rails and Flat Rack. Had to use 5/8" nuts as spacers on the rear to clear the fin, but look at that clearance. :)

    ARB Part #'s: 3800180 & 3723010
