is there a way to have the car auto lock after 10 mins of going into park? Clearly my ability to remember to lock the fuckin doors after bringing groceries upstairs is my achilles heel and this is the second time its cost me shit getting taken by being an idiot. Can i set an auto lock timer for 5-10 mins of engine off?
I dont care about locking keys in the car. At this point I've done that less than forgetting to lock it after bringing stuff upstairs.
    Thoughts ideas anything?
Im open to an aftermarket alarm system if the oem system cant, but any ideas or suggestions (other than the obvious 'dont be an idiot and just remember to lock the doors') would be appreciated. thanks

Close the door, lock it with the remote, and then unlock it with the remote

I know what you mean. When I lived in Arvada, someone open my door that wasn’t locked and stole my jack.

It was behind the seat in a pouch. They snatched and ran, not knowing what there prize was.

When I was driving to work, I saw it laying in the grass at the stop sign.

The dealer installed an “aftermarket alarm” on my 2009, but I have no idea how to program it or what unprogrammed features it has.....
I only know that 3 key rotations to acc will turn it on and off.
