Skids have made it to the North East.

Hey all, thanks for reading.

I am trying to buy some skid plates from a user in Williamsport Tenn. seller is willing to travel a couple hours. They will be at Wind Rock park over Memorial Day weekend, which is by Knoxville.

If I can get them over to Virginia, I think the rest will be set.

I periodically drive to Parkersburg, WV from Ashland, KY. I can get it that far north if it makes to me.

@chiefcrunchy hey Brother, I thought of you when I saw this request.

Maybe @fatfurious2 and @pdenajim would get involved and then I could get them north up into Delaware or Pennsylvania.

 

If I can get them moved out of Tennessee a few hours north, that cuts a 19 hour drive one way down some.

He is going to be up by Knoxville Memorial Day weekend.

 

Another option is to watch the Fastenal website. They provide the cheapest shipping cost around. They ship from warehouse to warehouse. They are everywhere though.

However, the last time I checked (a week or so ago) they had suspended that service. With things lightening up it might have changed.

 

Then, this is a wacky idea, Greyhound. You buy a round trip ticket and disguise the skids as luggage. Seriously though. I think that Greyhound ships though.

 

Ya, I’m going to see what options the seller is willing to check out.

 

I could get them if someone was able to get them to Blacksburg-ish then I could get through thecrest of VA

I can get them from windrock, and at least get them to the east side of knoxville. Thats about an hour further down the road if you need me.

if they were shipping, this would work great. Seller would drop off in Nashville and I have a location within 30 minutes. But no dam covid 19 virus crap.

 

Well, that ban can't last forever, especially since things are loosening up. I bet there is a Fastenal center near the seller. Hell, I'm in east BF Egypt and there are 2 near me.

 

the seller is just south of Nashville and there is one there. Memorial day the seller is going to be up by Knoxville and I have found another TW member who will at least hold them there, that puts them 3 hours closer. If I can get them a couple hours more eat of North, then I believe there are a few other members who will help.

Another vote for Knoxville safe harbor if needed. i'm at Windrock a lot. Also can probably get them to asheville if that's any better

 

Im meeting someone from Asheboro NC, near Lexington VA this weekend (5/17). Not sure if thats too soon or if Asheboro is too far..

Damn.... Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I just picked up my 2017 DCLB in Knoxville on Tuesday and drove back to Philly area, 635 miles. I was going to head south to FL, but plans changed when I couldn't get temp tags in TN. Good luck getting your skids and I hope I can help in the future.
