4runner need a windshield. Have a couple really good chips and then it's so pitted all over it never looks clean. Bugs the shit outta me. My insurance is kinda shitty for windshields tho so I'm not in a rush. And I think it needs new rubber molding around it too which isn't exactly cheap from Toyota. I have a whistle at highway speed that only happens when it's hot outside and the truck has been sitting in the sun for a while. Annoying as fuck.

Crazy as it may sound. Crawl under your dash and see if the seal for the steering shaft is torn... that motherfucker whistled like no other on a 4runner I did

I'll check it out but I'm almost positive it's coming from one of the rubber moldings around the windshield. It only happens after the truck has been sitting in the sun for hours and I'm doing 65-75 on the freeway. If I run the windshield washer for a bit, it cools or gets wet enough to stop for a little bit before starting again. It also sounds higher up then under the dash.

    Ah. Good chance then.

Is it the og windshield? Or has it been replaced. Shoddy application of the adhesive can cause whistles too

I don't know for sure but I think it's the og one. AZ freeways are really rough on windshields too, this one is beat to shit but no cracks. I might have to go smack it to crack it.

haven't looked forward to a weekend in 2 months, been crazy busy at work last few days. Although getting so much done kind of worries me that I won't be needed sooner than later *thinks of creative ways to sabotage projects and extend my usefulness*

If I knew I was going to stay employed all summer (and after things go back to normal) I'd get the commuter car I've been wanting to get for awhile right now. Hard to justify a big purchase like that right now though at least for me

My wife is going to buy her aunt and uncles 2014 Rav4 sometime in the next couple of months, I *might* take her 03 Honda Accord when she does...but I dunno. That thing has had nothing but one issue after the other the last few years, don't really want another headache I have to fix.

Don't know exactly but something practical yet fun to drive, and can fit the family (wife and I plus the baby). The new Corolla hatchbacks are tempting especially with a 6 speed

If I were filthy rich I'd look for an older T4R or Landcruiser, something I could take the family out and wheel/camp in. Can't really do it with the xtra cab Tacoma. But realistically I can't afford two wheeling vehicles right now. The idea creeps up on me sometimes to sell the Tacoma for a T4R or cruiser but...not ready to do that yet

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Especially when they are not fun to work on and require metric wrenches with odd MM sizes instead of even.
