This morning I had a 10 minute phone conversation, telling some guy Bobcat is a brand and that I needed to know what specific piece of equipment he needed. Needless to say, it took a while to get there.

Maybe it’s due to the fact that I’ve never spent this much time in my own house every day, but I think 99% of the people driving down my street are going way too goddamn fast.

    Most people drive like assholes.

We met one of our newer neighbors on our street while out walking the other day which we had never frequently done prior to the shut down...that was interesting. He asked us how long we'd been here for and when we told him 4 years he was like oh hell I've never seen you before.

    Yeah. That's the point :anonymous:

Not sure if you're half kidding...
    I'm not.

Honestly, we seem to have lost the tragic view of life.
    Everyone experiences tragedies.
And you shall die from something.
Avoiding those plain facts are not good for one's mental health.

Isn't it the height of arrogance to think everything is fixable if we'll just obey the "experts"?
In this current situation, we're missing one big piece of information:
How many have or have had the virus?
We know the numerator (deaths) but not the denominator.
We may never know with any precision.

Is it really worth it to go to any lengths to save lives?
    How many?
And mind you, the mortality is far and away highest among the elderly and those with underlying conditions.

    Lives versus livelihoods...
    Worth it?

I’m the same way. I wave at my neighbors if I happen to see them outside, but I don’t think I’ve ever initiated a single discussion with any of them. Oh well...

Anything for you, Ms. De!!!
This might be the closest I have skirted to the dreaded poly ticks issue, so hopefully this doesn't get me thwacked with @Pinay's mace.

I do believe that we will see a large uptick in the economy from the decrease in the Baby Boomer and older generations. This virus has the potential to remove a large weight from certain bureaus like SS and Medicare/aid.
