With nearly a million 3rd gens on the road, sadly I don’t think that’ll be much of a reality. Maybe classic but not headturning imo
ayyye you’re part of that 1st gen 300k mile club too?!

I agree to an extent but more likely it's the bean counters that nixed that stuff. Not engineers.

The 'engineers' also send their findings to the 'bean counters' for 'review'. So, if something is missing - it's probably not the engineers fault. Bean counters have ruined many a product.

Was it ever substantiated a catch can would aleve "smoking on incline"? I stopped paying attention...

Halp. I need a chrome delete kit for my catch can. Preferably one that comes with a bunch TRD and Ivan decals. Gotta let those Jeepers know that their non stickered cans are poser shit. Need it in a hurry, please. I can't drive with the massive chrome reflection from this thing, its too distracting.

Every install I've seen on here was on the drivers side PCV valve. I'd wager that oil came from the passenger side vent so a catch can would do nothing.

Correct since the throttle body is on the passenger side. I have wondered that too.

It can be deduced from ALL THE ULTRA HIGH MILEAGE Tacomas still on the road that if you leave them as Toyota built them you will be fine.

Yep. Always gone. He does safety mitigation and contracting work at mines and industrial areas throughout the southwest. Has a few employees that assist him, so the driving isn’t all his, but he’s always on the road and the trucks are barely there. They get used as work trucks and have contractor boxes in the bed.

So, i did this oil catch can a couple years ago.
If you dont do your own oil changes and basic mantinence you dont want the Oil catch can.

Every 5k mile i get a good amount of oil blow by that then ends up burnt into the air we all breathe.
Seem like this covid19 whould wake up some of you meat heads with 17% improved air quality world wide... nope.
Kinda like 2stokes are not legal on the streets (USA).
This beast i drive gets 15.3 mpg (1grfe v6) on a good day... if i can reduce the impact i would like to. So catch can, i feel helps my tiny bit.

Same with that other friday feature... K&N filter. I know its not now friday.
Though every oil change i clean my -5%HP K&N... leaves more room for diapers in the landfill i guess.
