Sold my last Tacoma so have a new set of Toyota OEM lower ball joints and protectors. Brand new, never used. Bought these from Camelback last year, and never got around to installing. Each comes with 4 mounting bolts, castle nut, and cotter pin. These were purchased for a 1997 6-lug 4WD Tacoma and fit other models. Put your truck specs in the link below to make sure they fit your truck before committing to purchase.

    Part numbers:
    43340-39585 Left side ball joint
    43330-39815 Right side ball joint
    43346-60011 (2) Ball joint protectors

    https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-lower-ball-joint-4333039815

$240 shipped USPS priority with tracking to lower 48 states only. Payment via paypal FF option, or buyer pays fees. Venmo also accepted. PM or email through site, or claim item in the thread/post if interested. Please be patient for a response.

*****To eliminate any confusion, the first member to claim the items IN THE THREAD gets it, meaning an "I'll take it" or similar wins*****

I've never heard of a ball joint protector before, huh. Those weren't there when I changed mine.

Seems only some later year trucks got them. As a band-aid possible "fix" to the lower ball joint problems. My 03 Tundra had them stock, my 04 Taco didn't have any when I got it at 100K.

My 04 had them on when I changed LBJs recently. It's a soft rubber piece that supposedly keeps sticks or light debris from hitting the exposed ball joint.

Trying to get rid of rust!
My 03 currently has the protectors with the original LBJ's.

I believe those ball joints OP is selling (43340-39585 and 43330-39815) will fit any year 1st gen even though some parts websites will say they don't fit 01-04s. The ball joints themselves are identical between 95-00 and 01-04. The only difference is the 95-00 ones come with the castle nut, cotter pin, and 4 mounting bolts whereas the 01-04 ones come with the castle nut and cotter pin but do not come with the 4 mounting bolts. This is my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong. Just trying to be helpful.

It's all good...I got mine online brand new from McGeorge Toyota for not much more. Like $270 shipped, but ordered a few extra bolts. Just do that as you have piece of mind (reputable retailer).

It's an 01-04 thing. Rubber piece that surrounds the LBJ boot to keep it from getting knicked by debris.

    Better photo of one
