Picked up my 2020 Limited yesterday; dismayed to find the wireless charging doesn't work. Tried removing Otterbox, changing placement on the mat, and another iPhone 11 - nada. Any thoughts before I call the dealer? Issue seems common (and occurring randomly to others) but I haven't seen a fix.

I had a little trouble with mine but I had to remove my case and place it centered. That's how I got mine to work. Best of luck.

I've had zero issues with my iphone, my wife's iphone, or my son's iphone with or without cases. I never used the Qi charger, but I don't even have to try to position it and it works, toss it in the cubby and it starts charging.

Would you folks and (anyone replying in the future) mention what year your Tacoma is, and what model your phone is so we can get this narrowed down? Seems random at this point. @calebc @Anchovy @TacoTaco-BurittoTaco

The only issue I've seen is that it stops charging after about +40% is added to the phone. Have to wait a while for the phone to cool down after it stops. I think that is a heat related issue caused by the poor efficiency of wireless charging.

To be honest, I'm having issues with my truck for the charger and the radio. I posted earlier that when I plug my phone into the terminal by the A/C it will cut in and out but it will charge easier than the IQ. I'm having to wait for an appointment to get it looked at and when I tried to update the radio it wasn't having it. Could be a coincidence.

My 2020 Charges my iPhone fine but like others don’t use it. Since Apple CarPlay requires a wired connection, wireless charging is not necessary. It’s too slow anyways, I’m looking to repurpose the space for future mod, maybe ham radio or a switch bank,

2017, 2019 and 2020 no problems, various iphone models with a wireless charging compatible case. Sorry OP but this sounds like user error, did you turn the button on and place the phone in the position outlined on the pad?

Yes, very familiar with the way it *should* work - but all Tacoma forums are littered with the same experience, with seemingly no correlation. I've spent an afternoon on it.

After a software update and a power cycle, I *have* gotten it to work with the Otterbox removed and very particular placement (all the way forward and nearly all the way left, with earpiece towards driver.
