Is there a secret trick? Pushing it in and it won’t seat.

No secret, did you bend a pin or break the lock tab on the clip?

No don’t think so. It seems like the black plastic inside the switch won’t go into the white plug.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but did you try to flip the plug the other way? If your inserting it in the correct way it may just be a little tight going in

Nope it’s the right way lol. I’ll give it another shot in the am. Def something not allowing it to seat. I know it sounds stupid, but I’m legit.

Just be sure none of the pins on the switch are bent before you try to force it on.

On the white part of the plug, there is a hook thingy that has to hook on to the piece that I've circled. If I'm remembering correctly, when I did this I had to take a pick and hold the hook part open because it slides around and won't connect with the other piece if you try to just mash them together.

Thanks I was suspecting something along those lines. I haven’t had time to work on the truck since I got it, between work and personal stuff. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.

Got it to work. The trick is to pull the wires and to separate the inner plug as much as possible while pushing in. Thanks.
