    Maybe...

I'll ask around. I left that contract back in '16 and the management team that I worked with has changed out.

With that said, I'll ask around. You have a unique skill, that is frequently needed in this town. Are you a welder too?

That's not 100% true, the only time I was on UI (dont qualify now because self employed despite my state restricting me from conducting business) I went off UI to work at a warehouse and made less money. Not everyone likes chilling at home. Now this recession may be totally different, most people are hysterical over this virus. Could be good opportunity to find a job if you are out one actually. I started looking and applying and may pause the business for now as my wife getting laid off on October 1st is getting more real. At least they are going to give advance notice in july.

If you are scared to wear a mask, don’t go where they are required.

And what is a normal life?

I agree it's not 100% true. It is way more true then not true IMO though.

Sucks to hear about you're wife's possible layoff. It's never an easy thing to go through. I know because my wife goes through it every June. Her job is an EPA grant funded position. She writes the grant application in February and is in suspense until June. Luckily, she's a good grant writer and Trump hasn't killed the EPA as much as he said he would.

    Keep looking here:

This is the website I found my current job through, after I got sick of being Director of Safety for the Flight Test Activity's aviation maintenance contract. There are several machine shops on Redstone Aresnal and throughout Huntsville. If anything becomes available at the Prototype Integration Facility (PIF), jump on it...

    Clear me up.

Is the extra $600 per week or every 2 weeks?

If it was every week, then I can completely understand entry level workers not wanting to go back to work untile every penny if that UI is used.

    $2400/month is balling!

    Thumbs up!

    Very little experience welding.

guarantee I can learn it better than most in less time than 98% of the population.

    A week.

My normal CA UI rate would have been the max at 450 a week. That's 28% of my normal salary. With the extra Fed money I was getting 1050 a week. That's 65% of my normal salary. There's a WHOLE lot of people that make less then me that actually make more on UI then working.

I think SC had a similar situation, where many people made more on UI, than they earned working.

I shouldn't complain she/we got 6months of employment care of the tax payers. I have a feeling she will be ok, but as you know plan for the worst, hope for the best!!

I'm in safety, and it's funny you mention that as the number and frequency of both them and the EPA have went up YOY after he got elected... hmmmmm

I did EPA electrical vehicle grants in my previous role, well I guess we were on the requesting/ recieving end. Man what a PITA as we were getting them from across the usa. I have probably lost 3 months of life to sitting on conference calls regarding those.

If you get to Sparks/Reno shoot me a PM. I live about 3 hours south in Bishop, CA. I grew up in northern Jersey and came out here 17 years ago on a road trip. Never went home. lol
