I am about to install a Fabtech 3-Inch Uniball Upper Control Arm Lift Kit with Dirt Logic Coil-Overs. I am just wondering if a sway bar relocation is needed? I don't see one included in the kit, but does this mean I will need one? I am going with 33 in tires as well. I do know I will need to add the differential drop spacer kit. I have also been hearing a lot about regearing and plan on putting some 4.88 nitro gears in, but should I do this before or after the lift or does it matter? Am I missing anything? I am a novice at all this and all the info would def help. Thanks.

You only need a sway bar relocation if your coilovers will hit it. I don't know about Dirt Logic, but my Radflo 2.5 coil-over came with a swaybar relocation block cause the base the springs sit on are lower in my radflos. The one I swapped out was also a 2.5, but the base was higher and didn't come close to touching the sway bar. You technically can even leave the sway bar off. I had it off for a while with my old suspension since the old ones were stiff, but the new Radflo, I had them custom-tuned with adj compression. I want to ride plush/soft when I am on the highway and adj when I go offroad so I installed the sway bar back on to compensate for softer, more body roll than before suspension.

You don't have to regear. I had 33" for a while and dealt with it. It will feel sluggish a bit and MPG will go down because of gear hunting. My truck is in the shop now getting regeared for 5.29 because I added weight (about 230 lbs extra on the front) and it is now to the point that I can't even get up to speed the way I want when going up a short on-ramp to the highway so I had to get it regeared.

Are you trying to do a diff drop? I didn't do it on mine since I don't need to but I only did a 2.5" lift. Maybe someone with 3" can chime in.

The relocation is 2 bolts and 5 extra minutes. If it’s included just put it in and save yourself the hassle

Thank you for the info. I’m guessing I won’t need to relocate the sway bar after all the research I have done on that lift I don’t see anything pointing in that direction. I would assume they would include one in the lift if it was really needed. I am really debating hard on just swapping to 4.88s now before the lift just to help the transmission out a bit and the truck could use a regearing regardless because it’s geared so dang tall.

Yea I’m going to go ahead and relocate just to be safe. Unfortunately it’s not included I don’t think but I’m going to buy one.

Just take off your sway bar. If you don't like driving it without it then get the relocation
