The engine was a 2VZ-FE, 2.5L V6. Pretty much started the engine family that the 1st gen taco v6 is from. Just rambling... Anywho, my buddy just finished importing a Toyota Corona.... How timely

    The Corolla was a 4-banger?

2VZ is a V6... The Corona is a I4 but I'm not sure which one, it's a JDM import, I don't think whatever it's got is available here.

So you were talking about the Camry and not the Corolla wagon? 1987-1991 Toyota Camry was available with a 2.5L V6; My mom's 1990 Camry had this engine, and my dad towed his boat with it!

Yeah I must've, I get the two confused often. Saw a 1st gen Toyota Soarer import at a car meet today too. As well as a JDM RHD Mark 4 Supra. I wish it was bright enough to take pics. The Soarer is actually internet famous so I have a pic of it...

Import/export regulations really suck in this country; I want a 1999 Skyline R34 like Paul Walker's, dammit!

5802ECCA-B34A-4348-A39C-0FF275A445B0.jpg Take it any day over a skyline and for less money. I think most of the hype over those cars is that you can’t get them, like Cartman’s theme park, they honestly don’t even look good.

It’s honestly lovely, like right at home. I’ve replaced my shifter cables and shifter and it’s so mechanical. It’s almost a gated feel. I really enjoy driving that car. Have a $3500 exhaust on the way. Supposed to free up 25 or so hp

If you ever make it to southeast Texas I’ll let you take it for a spin.

As a self-confessed audiophile, one thing I cannot stand about certain European and Japanese cars made after 1998 or so, but before maybe 2008, is that many of them lack features like Bluetooth and a backup camera, but the way the dashboard is designed makes it impossible to install an aftermarket head unit...

This is partially why my Grandma sold her 2002 Lexus RX300 with less than 90K miles on it!

My car has a touch screen, Bluetooth all that shit with a camera option but I didn’t install it because I don’t trust computers.

Yes, and it was definitely a bitch with the Bose stereo. I’ll take a picture in a minute.
