    Looks like the 285 75 16 weigh 53 pounds.
I have yet to find many c load in that size. Most are E and heavy.

I agree with you and the Corporate site. Pirelli US tires site says this: US Manufacturing Facilities is in Rome, GA. Thank you for the Corporate site information.

What is missing from that article is that Pirelli in the US and in particular truck tires are not your typical Pirelli's that are part of Formula 1 legend. They are a result of Pirelli buying Armstrong. Pirelli does make tires all over the world. You can easily determine the country of manufacture and the plant by decoding the DOT number. The first two digits of a DOT number will tell you where it was made and you can look it up here - http://www.harriger.com/tires.htm

A bit of history that Pirelli got into the SUV tire market by making the first Scorpions for the Lamborghini LM002. Those Scorpions were made in Italy.

Dry and wet roads, so far this is a great tire. Real smooth ride, did not slip, seems to be a softer rubber so I am expecting it will wear out quicker. Will post more info as I use them in more situations.

Just got scorpions at Sams Club. 80 bucks off a set of 4. Paid $529 for 4 with mounting, balance and lifetime road hazard. Great price imho.

Update: I have been able to use this tire daily on dry roads, and some sand, mud, hard dirt, rocks and wet rainy roads. Dry roads seems to have great traction, and is a little noisy. Sand it required airing down to about 15psi for a real nice footprint and flotation. Did air down to 10 psi just to see what happens. Anything above 15psi it will dig into the sand. Never got stuck, seemed to push me right alone. Mud is where this tire really performed well, seemed to throw the mud out of the tread, grabbed it and just pushed me right through. It wasn't deep mud, just trail topsoil mud, had great traction. Hard dirt, tire spins, but pushes you right along, handled it well. Rocks, tread lugs grab onto the rock and pulls right over it, tire flexes real nice. Rain, Just drove over 12 hours in wet/rainy roads at 80+ mph sometimes. Not once did it slip or slide around, was impressed with how it handled on the road when it was pouring rain. Tire seems to be a softer rubber and I am expecting it to wear at a faster rate. I hope to get 30K out of them. All in all, I like the tire and will most likely purchase them again. Hope this helps anyone who is interested in them.

Update? I'm going to need tires soon. I have about 40K on the clock - probably 35K on the tires since I run dedicated winter tires. I'm almost to my wear bars. I've been keeping my eye on these. The stock tires are absolute SHITE in the mud. I do a fair bit of logging roads so I need something that can clear the mud. But, I also drive 85mph on the freeway and it rains a lot here so I need to have a good rain tire.

I would be great to get an update now that you've had them for a while.

Absolutely a great tire. Heading out to Moab next month. Tire is holding up to daily use real nice. Wearing flat, no cupping. Latest pics.

Thanks @Mully ! Handles fine in the wet still? I'll see a lot of rain and some snow most likely.

    And, thanks again!

I drove from Bakersfield CA to San Diego and back at 70+ in the rain at night. Part of the Pelfreybilt auction. Picked up some cold steel and had no problems with slipping. This is the next set of tires I going to put on the Tundra.

I want to put these tires on my first gen Tacoma.... how do they perform if I use my truck as a daily driver in Vegas? I also love to hit up the mountain in winter. What about road noise

They are a softer rubber, I have 12K on them and about 50% tread left. I love them because I wheel offroad and will be buying them again.

I drove all the way through Idaho in snow. Deep snow sometimes, never got stuck or slid off the road. Truly an awesome tire. I am sure I will get more then 20K out of them. This is what they look like with about 12+ almost 13K on them and 2 Moab UT trips on them now.

Currently have Toyo ATII. Thinking about my next tire since I probably would need new ones next year. How is the road noise on these compared to other popular AT tires?
