Larger bed cubby

I'm pretty sure I saw a larger bed cubby on here before, but now I can't find it. It was sort of like the TUFFY Bed Security Lockbox, but was just a replacement for the inside box, and not a replacement of the storage door / not a security upgrade. Any ideas if this was a commercial product I saw, or maybe something custom built?

Thanks, don't think that's what I saw though. The one I'm thinking of looked like the Tuffy box in that it extended lower into the bumper/side panel area.

 

You have the two bed cubbys right? Are u thinking of the cubby add on for the 2020's?

 

I have two, the large driver side one, and the small passenger side one.

 

So you're saying it's a krgest replacement for the large? Or something else? My interest is piqued.

Only ready to install option I've seen is the Tuffy.

I would assume on here. Stumbled upon something maybe 2 months ago before I got my 2017 Tacoma. Went to find it again now, as I actually want it, but can't find it again.

 

I remember seeing it, it replaced the stock box and extended down further. It was all metal.

You talking about the one where the guy put all the small propane bottles in there? If so that was a custom fabbed one. I don't think that one ever went to production.

Those are some crazy prices on such a small storage box. Better off with a crossover tool box with huge capacity for same price.

 

wonder if I could add this to the long bed? I don't understand why the shortbed will have this XL cubby and the longbed only has the lil next to the power..?

I believe all the 2019s removed the larger cubby but you can still add it in if you want it. I have a 2018 shortbed and I have both cubby’s, and the long beds of my year have them both as well
