Sweet. You're gonna be able to do things you would have never attempted. The dual locked is the second best thing you can do to a rig if you wheel. The first is dual cases. Combine those two end you end up doing truly stupid shit. A lot. Ask me how I know. lol

No fronts, I only locked the rear. I got a winch, gear, and the rear locker so that's enough for my current experience level. I'm only a couple years into this obsession and life long passion. I know I'd definitely break some shit up front with IFS and it's my daily driver. Years down the line when I'm more experienced I'll revisit it.

That's the correct progression. I've wheeled for a while now. First rig was open/open. Next rig was locked rear. Then I got out of wheeling for about 15 years. I picked up my current rig, a 97 4Runner, and it was my wife's DD for a bit. I ended up getting her a 2009 4Runnner so I could turn her DD into a beast.

First I dual locked it. Having that front locker when needed made "hard" obstacles seem moderate. Then I dual cased it. Having the dual cases and being dual locked made those "hard" obstacles seem trivial. Of course that leads to wanting to do harder things and that's when you start breaking. Luckily, I'm fairly skilled with field repairs so it's never really been an issue. I've always gotten my rig off the trail under it's own power.

If I had started with dual lockers and dual cases there's no way I'd be as good at driving off-road. Having open/open and learning how to approach things went a long way in helping me learn. Enjoy the new locker and know it's there whenever you need it.
