I blew one since then. I noticed the week after swapping my diffs. Not really sure how but sure as shit, there’s grease everywhere.
Both CVs we reinstalled were in 100% working order

I know. I really need to get that and my LBJ bolts replaced. Hopefully I can find some time and a place to next weekend.
I may be paranoid but I hate driving around on reused bolts. Even if it’s only been 500 miles

As much flack as I'm going to get from everyone, I think I am going to run NAPA CVs and reboot my OEM CVs. If the NAPAs fail - then at least I have OE already rebooted...

I also don't want to cause more work for you since idk wtf I'm doing when it comes to CVs so thought it would be easiest to get something we can just plug and play?

Think its the best of both worlds going that route - that way I can have OE spares!

    Lmao... Hey now!

Yes, I have everything needed to do ball joints. If my press doesn't work for the uppers, O'reillys has one that will work.

@Uphillshunter I was reading up on the gears and they recommended not to put synthetic in so sounds like I have to go Dino oil? I will call on Monday to make sure but maybe I can just get some 75 or 80w-90 dino oil

You’re regeared, yeah? I’m running Lucas non synthetic 85w-140. I know it’s that for Nitro 4.88s and 5.29s. I’m guessing you’ll probably need the same stuff depending on what gears you have. I’d give ECGS a call and ask them to confirm your weight.

I heard about the nitro gears requiring some insane viscosity but I can't find shit about the Sierra Gears the previous owner put in...nothing on their website either. All they have on their installation instructions is

"Gear Oil - Use only high quality brand name gear oil and fill the differential until the oil spills out the plug hole. We do not recommend using synthetic gear oil of any kind, especially for use with limited-slip/posi differentials."

Super weird. I’ve never heard of them but you’d figure you could find info on what they recommend. I’m assuming it’s a thicker weight from stock. I’d definitely try and confirm that with them though
    In, probably for both days
