@TacoBuffet i gotta say w the beadlock I prefer the Ray 10 more so that the Br6. The F5 w the decals are a cool effect for sure. Think I got the consensus to run 17s out of the way so that’s a done issue. I’m leaning toward the ray 10s 17s in black. Gonna have sleep on it and finally decide tomorrow. It Sunday I’m off from work so I can chill out in lockdown lol and scroll some more pics

Sounds good man! I've had 2 sets of Rays and Stealth 6s, @SCSPerformance and Vuth are great to work with / quality wheels, can't go wrong.

@TacoBuffet May get stuck going with the 16x8 ray 10s. They are coming out in about 2 weeks and they just sold out of the 17s. I’ll see if freeman gets back to me. If not I don’t see myself waiting months for Scs to restock. May just have to go 16 which I don’t think I’ll mind. More sidewall could give the Impression of a Bigger tire

I said Ray10 as I have then but honestly both will look killer. Just depends on what you are feeling.

I was in the same boat as you but ended up going with Ray10s. You can’t go wrong with either one.

@Gat_ @nudavinci64 ahh so you both understand the struggle. Lolo but yes I agree I can’t go Wrong. I just can’t see them in person the wheels or size 16-17 and I’ve had my first tacoma 2004 1st gen since 2006 Lolo 230k miles. If I could build her a barn to live in for the rest of my days I would.

but it’s my First new Car / truck ever period. Long Time coming. You know how it is. You want to get it right. wheel style and size, it’s one of the most important modifications and 99% of the time your relying on other people and pics online.

I'm very partial to both, that being said in an un-altered state I much prefer the F5s. I couldn't do the Ray 10s unless I painted the fake beadlock bolts because they're ugly as sin. That being said I prefer the silver provided with the Ray 10s over the grey of the F5s.

I considered each wheel before eventually going with the 16" F5 for the weight savings. The 16" is about 5lbs lighter than my stock wheels. I definitely feel the difference in certain situations like accelerating into the freeway.

A 17" leaves more room for brake upgrades though so if you think you might do that in the future then get the 17" versions now. You won't go wrong with either style in either size.

I'd probably go with Matte Black but I'd love to see Stealth Blue with Cement.

@StrangeDuck hey man I understand what your sayin w the weight savings of 16 over 17

but if I get a 16 I’d put a 265/75/16 on it. In a 17 265/70/17 I’d may have to look it up but wouldn’t the Weight in the tires practically offset any difference in the wheel?

    @El Duderino ”very cool dude”

@StrangeDuck i looked it all up now I got to organize it in my head lol

265/70/16 TRD tires all terrain 42
    The TRD wheels 25lbs
    =67lbs Stock

    265/70/17 tires Cooper AT3 49lbs
    F5 17s 21lbs =70
    Ray10 17s 24lbs =73

    265/75/16 tires cooper AT3 48lbs
    F5 16s 18-19lbs = 67
    Ray10 16s 22lbs = 70

Incase others may be interested in the future. Tire weights vary I guess based on the model you get in a given size but it gives an idea. I selected the AT3 as a baseline. But overall literally little to no difference. 24lbs at the most should not effect the truck performance or gas mileage at all

16s and 265/75s is what I ran, should be fine just limited on tires that aren’t E rated.

    AC2D1263-07D4-47D3-8F81-085DDF8D3E65.jpg

and I tossed those ko2s shortly after, garbage in my opinion when it came to snow/rain and heavy so freaking heavy, truck rode like a dump truck.
