Been talking to folks about them seem good I need one axle rather than me rebooting. They have red inner boots for extended travel, or oem both sides.

Yeah the inner boot is sexy end to prevent rips cause that’s where it usually happens.

I have looked at them when I needed a replacement CV. But, even they say OEM is better and their OEM has twice the warranty. Their non- OEM boots have a 90 day warranty and their OEM has 180 Day warranty.
Their warranty says, When used for offroad or in lifted or modified trucks there is no warranty. Not sure how they would know but I don't see where they say they have any warranty at all even for non-lifted trucks.

Even they say OEM is best and if you get them from Toyota they have a 12 month warranty and the last one I bought for my truck from Toyota was $140, their OEM is $199, It has been over a year since I bought one from Toyota so they may or may not be high priced now. I did break one I got from Toyota that was within the 12 month warranty and they replaced it no questions asked.

yea still not sure what route I’m gonna go with axles but OEM probably will be the way to go. I just didn’t know if it was worth paying more for claimed better boots.

I can’t find oem 2nd gen axles online may try and call the local dealer and see how much.
Idk I’m tempted to try the red boots but I just need one right now so feel like one red would look stupid. I’ve got an oem core out in the garage where I replaced my last axle from a ripped boot, the other side is dry rotted right by the axle.

Where do you guys go to do some offroading? I'm in Albertville and have began modding my truck. Wife is interested in joining me too. I'm in the process of sliders and front bumper. Still on 31" tires but have a 2" lift. Looking for trails but not willing to risk tearing anything up.

    After lift:

Stay tuned as we all get out of quarantine, we were riding about every two weeks at the end of last year. I think Stoney lonesome and choccolacco are the best mild to wild parks in Central Alabama. There is a fun ride over close to you that some of the guys went on last year, but I don't know the name of the place.

There is Stoney Lonesome, Choccolocco, Little River Canyon, Bingham Mountain, Morris Mountain, Hale Mountain, Talladega National Forest, Adventure Offroad Park, Wooly's Offroad, Iron Gap Road, Prentice Cooper, The Slab and a few more with in an hour to an hour and a half of Albertville. If you don't mind riding a couple to 3 hours they are a lot of places in Tennessee and Kentucky. Let me know when you ready to ride.

We parked at the lodge and rode the trails from about 9am to noon. I’m not sure if we were ever even close to the campgrounds lol

That is just the popular ones, they are a lot more smaller places. They are a lot more than that in Tennessee that are within 2 to 3 hours, I ride every chance I get, we gonna have to meet up and ride again soon.

Wow, that's quite a few. I'll check them all out online. I've been through Little River many years ago and it seeded that all the trails have become roads that any 2wd could handle. I've been to Talladega National Forest one time for a few hours(13 years ago) but didn't look into anything to do with offroading. I appreciate the info and invite. My wife is taking social distancing pretty serious but it seems that it wouldn't be too hard to do some offroading.

Also, I have some Midland walkie-talkies but no CB radio. Will they work for comms?
