@12TRDTacoma is making the fuel pump install sound worse than the SC install. That and I’m being super lazy.

It's not that bad. I've done 2 (mine and @BassAckwards). Start with tank as empty as possible.

Yeah, seriously speaking it's not as bad as I'm making it sound @jpark4 I'm just a tired modder because all of the mods I have ever done have required me to start and finish on the same day, so there is already pressure on me the moment I remove the first nut off the truck and I don't like that sort of pressure which has caused me to reel back in my modding.

If the tank is more on the empty side, removing it is cake.

    My shit is all stock.
One tip. Have a second fuel pump module modded and ready to install. That way you just drop the tank, swap modules, then re-install. That’s how I did mine. Sold off the one I pulled to someone else on here. I forget who it was now. But, there’s at least one extra floating around on here.

Anyone got one decorating a shelf in their garage?

Looks like it was @BassAckwards that got it. Maybe he’s still got it laying around.

I don’t think you really need to be worried about dropping the tank. I was able to do it in about an hour with the aforementioned pre-modded module.

That's actually a great way to go about it if you are going to do the mod that way it's drag and drop.

We should probably add those into our "sell" thread.

Upcoming - purchased, not yet installed: Body matched rear bumper (rattle can), Kicker Hideaway, JL Audio 6x9 components w/80Hz Bass Blockers, Hellwig anti-roll bar, TRD Short Shifter, Knock-off TRD Shifter (non-Qball), black throwback plates. Plans: more.
The noise is more noticeable on my phone than computer speakers, you might have to turn the bass down to hear it.
It almost sounds clakity, like a diesel. Less noticeable at higher RPM, but maybe just drowned out by other noises.

Just started the fuel pump and the hardest part is taking the fuel and vent lines off. It’s been caked with so much sand and mud that I’m struggling to separate the damn clamps.
Tip: take the damn read driver tire off. So much more room for activities!!! Doesn’t help the fuel line problem though.

It lugged a little when I gave it too much throttle at low RPM, kinda sounds pingy.
Lean does not sound like a good thing, maybe I should hold off driving until I get an AFR, and probably send my ECU to @JustDSM in the mean time.

Cool. If the offer still stand to take a listen in person that would be cool.
I'll send the ECU to @JustDSM after that regardless.
Oh and pickup an AFR gauge somewhere.

I'll be out that way from the 15-17th. Send me your address and I'll check to see where that is in relation to where I'll be.

Read a few posts after. There is a reason why I didn't enjoy doing my fuel pump. I'm just happy that debacle is all over with honestly.

It's actually not all that bad, remember there is more than one way to skin a cat.

Anyone have an extra fuel module handy? fuel pump is next on the list. Would be fantastic to have it prepped before hand.

Damn, looking into this seems like I need a wideband? That would mean getting a sensor welded..

It's all about the supporting mods brother!

You would need to get a bung welded, something a decent muffler shop can do no problem for cheap.
