Oooof I know, good ones aren’t cheap. I’m going to do some research and see which one fits the bill. It’ll see somewhat regular use but nothing too thick.

I still cut with the grinder or a saw mostly but the plasma does come in very handy

Ah. I'd like one too. Then I see the prices. My hangers should be here next week. I wonder if I can bribe my buddy into letting me use his plasma cutter.

Honestly an air hammer is the more useful tool of the two. That was the real mvp today.

I just realized what I thought was the torch in the first picture is actually leaf springs!

We'll see. I've rarely used mine. Got mine for free too in a class action suit against Ingersoll Rand!

I have a feeling that this is a rabbit hole I don't want to venture down.

I mean, if you're in the market for a rabbit hole, you won't find a better one.

But in all seriousness its a great driver. Its had a ton of work done, but for some reason it keeps becoming my problem. The owner wants it sold and so i have to sell it for some reason.

I'm not a big Firebird fan, but what's he want for it? I can ask around.

Evening, wanted to introduce myself. I just got back into the Taco world 2 weeks ago with the purchase of my cement 2020 DCSB OR -original I know... I use to have an 05, but had to sell it six years ago to deal with some family financial hardships. Over the last few years I've coped with my automotive addiction by collecting old Volvo station wagons, but for all the awful things COVID brought, it also created some great deals that I couldn't pass up.

That said, having a Taco accompanies an insatiable desire to mod. Even though my truck only has 250 miles I've already been eyeing out what I might change out (Ray 10s, Wildpeaks AT3s in 265/75/16, maybe a lift, etc..), which brings me to this thread. I've been looking over some of the sliders for truck, but I wanted to know if there were any fabricators who are local? Besides saving money on shipping and having the possibility of getting help on-site, I figured it'd be nice to help out local businesses and build up the east coast offroading market. For full disclosure, I don't think I need sliders (don't plan on offroading too much outside the GW forest or other areas close to the DMV), but I figured I'd ask if anyone local makes them.

Any of those wagons 240s? I've always wanted to do something crazy with one.

    And welcome!

Welcome! Love my Mobtown sliders...they are sort of local. Just picked up skids from them this last week too.

Yes!! I plan on throwing in a V8 when the engine dies, but the problem is that it's built like a tank and can be repaired with duck tape.

    Thanks for the welcome.

It's a good motor. When I worked on cars we had three customers that had them. They refused to die. One of them had 200k on the original timing belt.

My neighbors have a sedan. I'm waiting for it to die so I can swoop in and make me a race car.
