Sounds good, I'll be calling muffler shops tomorrow.
Any recs on a gauge that won't break the bank?

AEM X series and a Denso sensor. Buy the gauge alone, buy the sensor using the Denso sensor replacement thread I provided on page 1.

    I have a legitimate question...

Has anyone went FULLY catless on factory manifolds or even on shorty/ longtube headered exhaust setups and if so, have they seen a reduction in boost pressure (or not if they didn't have a restriction in their system) coupled with a extra kick in the pants for power?

Any data via HPTuners to back this up? This part is just complimentary, but not necessary.

I am experimenting with some witchcraft here that depends on this crews feedback.

My gawd! I lover your response. I have the same noise on my truck. I have thought about asking. Lol! It crazy to me how much noise the supercharger makes other than a wine.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I am long tube headers boosting way past 10+psi. My gauge runs out. I am waiting to drop in JFR Y and 3” all the way back. There is a cat back on the Y and a resonator. Not what you wanted but I fully anticipate drop 2-3 psi just based upon opening up the Y pipe.

I just put a new exhaust on my truck with the help of a friend that can weld. 2.5" factory style flange at the y-pipe to 2.5" resonator that's 10" long that has an adapter to 3" pipe to a 8x5 muffler and a turndown. It's loader than I wanted, but no drown and throttle response is smoother.
It's amazing how a 2.5 exhaust with a chambered muffler choked down the engine.

Question for the gents using the ultra gauge.
How accurate is your boost pid?

I don’t have a boost pid. Are you using the phone version?

Yes I am. It seemed accurate when the supercharger was stock. I put a 2.7 and I have seen it 11.2-11.3 psi. So I was curious. It seems like that would be high to me.

Well it's a rotational assembly with two giant rotors moving incredibly close in tolerance to the housing itself. To say it's going to be 1000% quiet is just crazy talk.

It is. You have a restricted exhaust or intake.

Still looking for more feedback regarding catless trucks. I'm trying to determine if the cats are really restrictive and if so, how much.

I didn’t know it had that. Very interesting especially since we don’t have a map sensor

That's what I was thinking. So it is obviously a calculated number. That is why I asked.

Fully catless you will see 1-2 psi reduction in boost readings.

So are you asking about keeping the stock manifolds and/or stock ypipes and go catless with them. I’ve never heard of anyone ever doing this.

Cause most people replace stock manifolds to headers and stock ypipe to a custom equal length catless ypipe and yield huge gains. Dyno graphs prove this. And you probably lose about 2 lbs boost in the process.

Me? Nothing. The previous, a lot.
Yup. Never doing another fuel pump again. Two things that sucked: EVAP connector, which I really hope mine is seated, and the retaining ring. F those two right in the butthole.
