It’s a sign that you need to rebuild it as a bike shed. And fill it with bikes.

    Your typical overlander mods
2 bikes, 3 people, gear and no squat! Suprised how well the truck did with everything especially going up grade and at high elevation.

This will be rebuilt to hold all the shit I want to get out of the garage so the garage can be focused on bikes and tools!

anyone good with old bikes? my friend gave me a project to try to get her bike rideable for her. she literally found this in the woods in VT last year while out on a search and recuse mission. I have no idea how old this is or how long it was in the woods. its pretty rusted and has grip shifters from sram and the derailleurs are labelled magna. I took the tension out of the derailleur cables and adjusted the limit screws. the rear has definitely improved but will still occasionally refuse to shift or ghost shift up the cog. the front derailleur seems to do nothing even with adjusting tension and the limit screws.

any suggestions on what else i can try to salvage the shifting?

There’s really nothing better than riding dirt and seeking out weird nooks and crannies in even the most familiar of places.

I was demoing these two SantaCruz 5010s on kitsuma peak, nc. They make such good looking bikes.

Ok now we have some new race face chesters in orange on order as well. I’m used to the Aeffect pedals so these might be a little change. But if I don’t like the composites I can always switch them to the hardtail.

Looks like a nice find, but your Feedback stand is probably worth more than that bike. Best advice I could give is to take both mechs off and give 'em a good deep cleaning and re-lube everything. New cables/housing should help, but the grip shifter may be toast. Good luck!

On a similar note, the cables may not be replaceable. I have messed with some of the cheaper grip shifters and I don’t think they are replaceable, at least from what I could see. I think the ones I looked at were the cheap shimano ones so others might be different
