In order to qualify for the free frame replacement (even if it happens down the road, in which case you get the undercoating), Tacomas in the northern states (especially northeast) MUST get their trucks inspected THIS WEEK. The campaign ends at the end of October.

I should have posted this earlier in the week.

K&N intake. That is all. For now...
People who live in the snowy areas are exposed to a lot of salt on the roads, The salt just eats up the frame. If you do a quick search you'll find several pictures of rotting frames. The newest one I think I've seen is a 2006 model.

I don't really have to worry about it in Cali and I think you're safe in Albuquerque. :)

Searchbar it. Theres a thousand threads on it, plus a sticky about the buybacks for 95-00 trucks that mentions the 01-04 replacement a lot.

I went in for the inspection at Jim Wolfe Toyota in Ballwin, MO and they said everything was good. Said the procedure mainly involves a ballpin hammer banging in certain areas of the frame. Anyway, they did not treat the frame with anything just said everything was good. Should I go to another dealership or the same and ask for the spray treatment on the frame for the said issue?

I find it odd that Toyota doesn't include some states that salt their roads. I've tried it in Utah and the dealership had no idea what I was talking about.

What with Heritage Toyota Vermont do once this campaign ends?
I swear they went out looking for them...their used lot had a lot of frame replaced trucks for sale & back lot had non-licensed 01-04 trucks just sitting there....
...plus a couple of dedicated bays just for doing replacements.
I guess its good for business.
