Stolen Wheels and Tires

I hope this is ok. Mods please delete or move if not...

Stolen in Westminster. Tuesday the 5th of May at 5:30am after I loaded them up to drive to my buddies shop to install my lift.

Caught the scumbags in the act so luckily they only got away with 2 of my brand new 17" Method Con 6 wheels and Toyo Open Country R/T 285/75R17.

I've been watching CL, Facebook and Offer Up.

 

Any more deets? Vehicle make model, description of dudes, etc.

 

Things happened so fast I didn't even get a vehicle description or plate#... One of the two ran off. Another tried to drive away with two tires on top of his car... I pushed them off the car and was able to reach in and turn his steering wheel towards the curb temporarily preventing him from driving off. He grabbed a crow bar or lug wrench and starting hitting my arm. I was forced to let go of the wheel and he was able to get into reverse and tried to run me over.

 

Beige or silver Import compact 4 door... Honda, Nissan, Toyota who knows I was half asleep and adrenaline was raging.

Westminster isn't a good description of location. There's multiple in the United States

Yes. Strapped down and under two cameras. I was up at 4:45 and all 4 tires were still safe. 5:20 the Ring notified me of motion and that's when I caught them. Yes, I am an idiot for leaving them out. Not looking for advice on what I should have done, just hoping for more eyes out for the wheels being sold...

 

This IS the Southern California forum though...

 

That's all I am hoping for. Two mid 20s Hispanic males, one runs really fast...

It's amazing how fast these criminals are.I was 50 feet away from my car when some kid ran up to it, unlocked the door, busted the ignition, started it up and drove away. I couldn't stop them. Maybe 15 sec and he was gone.

 

That sucks. Hope you get them back. But really couple thousand dollars worth of tires and wheels sitting in the bed. Might as well put a sign on the tailgate that said free. Ugh!!!

 

Yea, I used poor judgement.... For years I have left dirt bikes worth upwards of 15k in my bed the night before rides and never had a problem. Truck was under TWO cameras and 8' from my front door.... Won't ever do something like this again, and next time I'm running outside with wasp spray in my hands.

 

Really hope you catch the losers.

I don't even like sitting at a stop light with something of value in the bed that isn't secure.
