    There are a few counties around here, ours included, that are making plans to defy the governor's order to remain "red" and start reopening things to "yellow" status. Honestly I think a lot of individuals are already defying the order. It's time to let business owners do the same and get back to business -- safely. "Essential" businesses have shown it can be done.

    I decided to replace the drum shoes. 337xxx miles, 3rd set of shoes. It is quite the project compared the the front discs, not too difficult but don’t forget the layout!

    Compared to the stock springs I just took off. I guess the stock springs were so compressed they didn’t do much. These Deaver springs have a lot more “spring” in them, if you know what I’m saying. Feels more lively

    Inspected the bee colonies yesterday afternoon..all 4 queens are healthy and producing. Added the supers on top of the hives to give them space to grow and store honey. Hoping for a good year!!

    Yes, with that many miles I figured replace it all.
    The shoes and the hardware kit cost a total of $51, for that price...do it.

    I'm starting the preventative maintenance gambit. Started with the spark plugs the other day. Helped a buddy replace his brakes on a 97 ranger. Talk about rust! It reminded me that at 107,000 I've never changed the brakes on the truck. I suppose it is probably time for that. Good to know the hardware is cheap, I think I'll just replace it all as well.
