Nice looking ponds guys. If my wife sees them and makes me dig one I will be very upset.

Actually it is a lot of fun. I would have the family buy into, It's a family project, so at least you will have help. Maybe LOL

Having the rock delivered close by is also a plus for two reasons. The rock does not have to be moved far and with luck you will only handle 25% of the stones one time.

 

I used a small roto tiller and a post hole digger. My son actually helped a lot. He had just turned 9 so digging the hole was a lot of fun for him.

 

how many gallons are the ponds tom and lurry

 

Those ponds are awesome. I've always wondered, why the heck do you have a skid steer, or is it fork lift, I can't remember?

Mine is around 1200 gallons. Considered a mid size pond. Cost more than a small pond but less than a big pond. If you can go large that is the way to go. The cost actually becomes less per gallon although when building it you would not think so when you are actually doing the buildout.

We stocked the pond with 10 goldfish and have about 40 now. Of the original 10 I still have 6 left. The original are about 7 inches now, when we first picked them out they were about 2 inches.

I did look at coy and said no way. Everything is double for coy except the price. The price is close to 400% more. You need twice the space and waterflow for coy as you need for goldfish. And when the Blue Herons come for a lunch the cost to feed them is much lower.

 

I am guessing more than that. What is the length, width, and depth?

Mine is 11ft X 8ft, by 4ft deep in the deep pools.

 

My only issue is the digging. I hate digging. The stone work I enjoy, redid a dry stack wall at the old house, it was kinda fun.

I had to look on the forum to see how to remove the overhead console. Found the procedure and it worked like a champ.

I was able to illuminate the footwells in the Tacoma today. Another project completed!

 

Back from the range, no one got hurt and the girls had a good time.

 

second suspension adjustment from all new new front end weight is about to get going. there is snow everywhere, i hope i can get it in the garage.
