There was a Vector Arms UZI carbine on a local buy trade site last week for $900 OBO.

Thought about buying it and making it a SBR, those things look ridicules with a 16" barrel.

Don't know much about UZI and less about Vector Arms, so I let it pass.

I just picked up a Ruger PC Charger. Yes I think the Scorpion looks better but got the Charger for $630 at a local shop. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Waiting on the Holosun and arm brace stuff to show up next week. The SB Tactical folding braces are out of stock everywhere. So I ordered the Thordson Picatinny Buffer Tube Adapter and a pistol buffer tube. Had a buddy give me a Sig SBX brace. So it was the cheaper (and only) option right now. I will say as a pistol, the Ruger is very front end heavy.

That was my thinking. Although I do love the Scorpion also.

The Ruger has a QD front end too if you're into takedown guns

Braces are stupid, impractical to shoot with and look ridiculous. Just leave the tube naked if you want a pistol.

For a few $$ more than one of those idiotic brace things, you could have a stock.

Yes, but. There are some areas where SBRs can be made (local laws); and there are no wait times on a braced pistol, easy sale, no state-state travel paperwork, and something else that escapes me.

I actually put one on my Mossberg Shockwave, it's a Tailhook Mod 1 brace. Only one I could stand the looks of. It's all aluminum, instead of plastic or rubber. Still on the fence about stamping it as a short barrel shotgun.

If I knew it would be a 5 or 6 month wait time, I'd already done it. I hate the thought of waiting up to or over a year for a form 1. Hell...might be dead by then.

The Holosun HS403C, lots of great features for the money. I've got several Holosuns and they've all been great.

Mainly because I already have 3 stamps. Don't see the need to give the gubment yet another $200 for no reason.

Never understood why anyone would have to pay the government twice for the same service. They should be able to determine if you're safe to own a SBR or can, so you shouldn't have to pay them again for the same service. You should just be required to log into their website and tell them what you've added or sold.

While my build wasn't cheap, it is cheap to shoot, so I shoot a lot more. and I saw a huge improving in my dynamic shooting after building this AR-9. It is a QC10..ultra reliable. It has NEVER malfunctioned.
Call me 80's kid, I went with the classic Colt Stick mag on my 9mm AR. I built it about 6 years ago right when the glock mag option was new and they were still having issues with them. But I have to agree....it is my favorite gun to shoot, carry on foot, or throw in the truck.

I thought it was the older ones that had the weld
my buddy had to drill out the weld on his and still bitches about it
mine was just a screw (bought this january), easy peasy
and I thought it was fine at first too but side by side with one that has it done really shows how bad it is

I prefer my Aimpoint ML2 (Now called the PRO). And I like it over my Aimpoint T-2

I have a pre-90,000 serial number MRO and it has optics have a blue tint to them (little disappointing). This issue has been fixed on newer MROs. Otherwise its OK. I think it is awkward to turn on. & the windage adjustments dont have covers and could be moved if it is hit just right. So I guess I have mixed reviews on it. It is the cheapest of all of them. but No problems with it...I just consider the Aimpoint the gold standard of red dot perfection.

A little bulky brace but it's a nice stop gap until the folding SB Tactical braces come back in stock.

Seriously thinking about building another Form 1 can for this thing.
