It’s very grindy. But it’s a great sense of accomplishment. Me and Matt had a 50k ultra on tap this year but they cancelled it

To make sure I stay in shape I will do a 5k run every few months to make sure I can do it in less than 30 minutes and that is enough to keep me happy. I’ll put down some miles on a bike and enjoy it.

I applaud those that enjoy running and keep pushing harder and further though.

Just ordered a container of Nuun to help combat my head spins blurred vision issues. Hoping the complex carbs in it will help keep me fueled. Trey told me complex carbs are key

I know it’s not mountain bike related, but I’ve got an older road bike I’m trying to keep running so I can spend the $ on mountain bike gear.

gripshifts have started to essentially melt into my hands. Can’t replace them without replacing the shifter. Bike probably isn’t even worth that.

any recommendation on material I can wrap it in to stop having grip residue coating my hands or gloves every time I ride?

Those grip shift ones are not as they are the shifter. Have to replace the whole shifter to do so.
Hand me down from my dad so it has some years on it, but I mainly just rode bike to get some different cardio in once every few weeks. Not needing to drop $ on this guy

thanks for the thread, haven’t seen that one before!

does that training knock you out of any local riding too? or is it just a no go because it's more than a one day thing?
