Rode out to NJ to visit our parents today. Weather was nice, a little windy on the ride home. Round trip around 115 miles...I think this is the longest ride Jacqueline has been on with me.

Went out for a scoot yesterday and had a blast, put maybe 50 miles on the Ninja.

The weather is bad today but it looks like I will get some more riding in tomorrow and Wednesday.

Get out there and practice riding in the rain.

    But don’t do this.

Holy crap, both of those made me cringe.

I would consider riding in the rain to build my skills, and I actually took (and passed) my MSF range exam in the rain.

The only issue today is that it’s really cold as well, and I don’t have any cold riding gear yet. It takes only about 10 minutes before my hands and feet start to go numb. :pout:

I've been riding for years and still don't like riding in the rain. I've been caught it in more times then I can think. Also been caught in snow storms don't ask haha

I am thinking about moving to Charlotte, NC and am bummed about missing out on all the BLM land and OHV trails of Montana. Looks like there is some trails in North Carolina and South Carolina. Also the roads are a lot better to ride on down there. It’s all tradesoffs I suppose.

I lived in NC for almost a year, and I loved the climate there. The roads are in good shape, especially compared to the infrastructure anywhere in the “rust belt” or northern areas.
I didn’t have a motorcycle when I lived there, but it would have been awesome.

I was looking it up and seemed like there was a lot within a 100-120 mile drive. Also like the idea of watching motorcross and supercross.

Sucked it up and strapped the backpack on to ride to work. Beautiful 60 degrees and overcast today.
Only downside is no cup holder for my coffee.

Nope. Haha. I just threw a thermos in my backpack, I’m good. It’s not like I’d be able to take a sip while riding anyway even if I had a cup holder. I honestly think those are ridiculous, but so are a lot of other accessories that people put on vehicles in general.

yea its definitely different country out here but nonetheless there is way more than meets the eye like ohv parks, race tracks both paved and dirt, beaches that you can drive out on etc.

there is a lot out here but just very very different, we have mountains but they differ vastly from the rockies and we have lots of forest / woods but vasty different than the great plains...

seems to be a big TW community in the mid atlantic region.

you work in finance? i know charlotte has a bunch of corporate bank offices.

Custom home electronics. Smart home stuff. I am loving the fact that we can get 1-2acres with a house for around $250k. You can’t even get a townhouse in Bozeman for that price.
