the inners were fine and lasted over 2 years.

The outers were neoprene and lasted maybe a year. go OEM for outers.

Im redoing 4 axles so you would reccomend CVJ for inners and OEM for outer correct?

Yup! the high angle silicone Inner boots (red/orange) and OEM outer boots. According to CVJ it's their best combination also.

Man I told you that you should buy a welder! Our cost on that material is maybe like $30-$40 depending where you buy it from.

yeah I know, just finding space to put everything in my tiny garage is the tough part. And there is only one outlet on the ceiling for the garage door opener lol

I dont see the problem with small garage and outlet in the ceiling to have a welder...
    Do you own the house?
If yes put 220 outlet in the wall.
If no get a cheap 110 welder and run multiple passes on your projects.
Or just make excuses and trade the truck in for a 3rd gen to pay the overland tax.

I’ll make you one for $75:spending: but seriously, if you want one and don’t mind the drive you can stop buy one day and we can make one, I got more than enough for that in scraps laying around. I’m not a big time content creator and my post count is pretty low so I understand if you don’t think I’m qualified though

Renting the house so I don’t think I can add additional outlets, although I’d love to. And I would never trade this thing in for a 3rd gen lol why would I?

Haha y’all always rip on me for posting truck photos, but I love taking photos of my truck! And honestly if I were closer I’d take you up on that. It’d be awesome to learn how to weld with someone that knows how to.

Where’s your dryer? I’m renting but am lucky enough my dryer is right inside the house off the garage. I built an extension cord and just hijack the outlet whenever I weld.

@Nimble9 if your trying to learn get a small welder and don’t worry bout outlets.
    I believe @fatfurious2 welds on 110

    I do. I have a Hobart 140. I had a 30A outlet installed, but I think 20 is required for that welder.

Yea even a 110v welder is gonna need a 20 amp circuit unless you wanna keep resetting the breaker every time time you strike an arc

Wtf kinda dryer you have? Is heat provided by fire? I was welding on 110 for a year and it’s def not bad. 220v is just even better.
Shoot even on a 20a my old welder would trip the circuit. I couldn’t lay a bead longer than ~6” in one go otherwise it’d trip. Super annoying.
