Here are some of my most recent tinkering. I bought a set of stedi driving lights from an Australian company. After having the arb lights in my wife's ride, I didn't care for them. The slee option was more than I wanted to spend on driving lights, so I opted for these. I bought 2 pair, one for me and the other to replace the defunct halogen ones in the wife's ride. I know arb now makes an led version as well, but after dealing with the halogen ones, I just couldn't bring myself to try them. Plus, I paid less for these and only ended up a little more out of picket with shipping, and I can live with that. They have a halo driving ring, but i haven't hooked up the wire for that yet.

Also really wanted to try the Adventure Kings Domin8r spot lights. But they dont ship to the US. So, I contacted a friend of ours who lives in Aus and they took delivery there, and then shipped them to me. Think I paid around 120 bucks total on those shipping included due to the aus dollar and US difference. Very happy with them, although I did have to repaint the lens ring cause blue just wasnt gonna do it for me. Ha. I know there are plenty of options here, but these things pack a nice punch for the price.

Here is an Aussie vid of some guy testing his domin8r lights.

I have racedeck free flow flooring and absolutely love it. I honestly don't have a ton of complaints with it. Probably the one that happens every now and then is if i drop a bolt, sometimes a washer or something will fall in the ribs of the flooring. Other than that, it is nice. If i have a spill or something i just take off one of the tiles and clean up, then replace.

I was wondering about that, I could see dirt etc building up in there. Looks good by the way, nice change. I have the self roll on epoxy in the shop, easy to clean up.

    I usually take a lef
I take a leaf blower and just blow out the garage every now and then, so not too bad. I try to keep the garage pretty clean, so easy enough as is. Customers kind of like it as well when they come to pick up their car.

I was going to do epoxy, but I have a crack in my garage floor from foundation issues and if I ever decide to sell the house, I can bring this with me, just buy more tiles. Also, i did not want to have to grind down the concrete for a better bond and prevent the inevitable epoxy being lifted. The garage designer is fun if you want to add logos, different colors, etc. Helps with making sure you have all the correct number of tiles ordered. Have nothing bad to say about the customer service either of the company. They were great to deal with.

If you get a chance would like to see more of it, if you don't mind sharing. Like the different design aspect of it.

All that I have are some older photos while I was putting it all together. At least gives you an idea. If i could change anything, I probably would have gone with a few lighter grey tiles. for the border and shrunk the logo. Had to make the logo that size due to the sizing of my garage and making it square.

My parents are looking into solar. What would that set you back?
There latest quote is 45 panels for a 90% usage, install, $55K

That house was 36 squares and was around $50K for all the roof and 10KW of solar.

I will take a guess at your bid:
45 panels at 280 watts = 12600 watt system or 12.6 KW system.

Our price would be around $37K for a system that size depending on location and materials.
