Hey all--I picked up an Apache 9800 case at Harbor Freight to use for storing recovery gear, etc on my Prinsu. Looking for ideas/pics on how you have things laid out in yours. Did you pick and pluck foam or just take it out all together? How about mounting--did you silicone inside the case or use some kind of rubber washers so you can take it off without having to break the seal where it's mounted? TIA. I don't think I've ever seen anyone using foam cutouts to store/organize their recovery gear. Seems a little too OCD, even for the instagram bros.

Just get a couple of those smaller tool bags from HF and toss like-items in there to keep things organized, and to help protect your snatch strap and other cloth items, etc...

I would reconsider putting recovery gear on your roof rack, though. Would suck if you roll it and trap your recovery gear where you can't access it. But certainly think about how often you're likely to need access to it, and how convenient (or not) storing all that stuff on the roof is.

Thanks for the feedback. I was unsure about the whole "pick/pluck" plan. I also appreciate the comments about if I rolled the truck. If I do roll it the main thing I am going to need is toilet paper!!

I keep that in the driver's door pocket.
