Decided to go cruise around the Danville area this weekend. Gorgeous day, just too cold to do much else.

First road was Stone Quarry. Was a fun one. Decently dry and the new tires performed phenomenally. I didnt get any glamour shots, but took a few screen shots off the dash cam of the "road". Cruised a few other backroads after that, looking at cows and whatnot, then back home.

Just rode the sides up the main first part of the hill.

Then after we made it up that turned a bend and found a mess of a tree with more off camber rut to one side. Was able to ease around all the trees and kind of over that last one after a few easy tries.

Then on up some more hill before reaching the top where it just turns into more normal road.

Oh nice!. I was happy it was a lot less gnarly looking than last time I was up there (which was like 2 years ago). Last time we turned around and didnt attempt because it was a lot more rutted / muddy / I was alone.

Ah she's good. Needed a bath anyway. New skid plates didnt even get muddy on that one!

Rush will be reopening, soonish, for camping. Let's change that!

Yeah that sounds like a good time!. I LOVED how these tires did on the little we did go on. Especially bombing the gravel roads.

I still need to address my shitty suspension though. My OG SPC uppers are creaking away like a hotel mattress, and I still hate these Fox 2.0's.

Just get the rebuild kit, or opt for the updated model with zerks in the pivot points.

Yeah the bushings + ball joints from SPC cost more than if I just bought them off Rock Auto lol. May just do that.

EDIT: I can get the original SpecRide ones for $60 (edit2: 45 on ebay lol). May just toss those in. They have lasted like 50K miles.

Mine were "free" from @beertimecontinuum so I just bought the bushing and balljoint sets to rebuild them. I don't remember it being much over $100 to do it all
