My customer service isn't the best. I have no problem admitting that. I'm 1 guy, there are a million + tacomas.

i made the best product I could for the 4.0L. Times have changed and people don't want it so I'm making tuning software. At this point I'm just going forward with my software, retired from tuning.

    its very easy to criticize.

@OVTune so will the vF Tuner be available for us 4.0Ls?
This kinda sounds like your talking about it but it’s not clear.

yes vF Tuner will be available for the 4.0L.

If you have a flash kit, you can have a vF Tuner license for $79

Not mad, but very disappointed that I wasn't able to get a response to my questions. This was prior to the product being "discontinued", prior to the tax sale discount that was offered. Maybe it just wasn't "public" knowledge at that point. After much research, it looks like my ECU wasn't supported anyway. Was actually willing at the time to remove my ECU and ship at the time to see if it could be supported.

I get your a one man shop and I'd much rather support the small guy business type vs. a larger corporation. Wish to you luck in your future business endeavors/direction.

All ECUs are done, I am just working on checksum algo calculations at this point. Don't have an exact time. Probably early May.

example files (example tunes based on what we have previously created) will be available.

If you already own our FLASH KIT, you can have a license to vF Tuner for 60% off. ($79)

Thank you. Sorry I did not get to you when I could. I am simply already overloaded, and this business change was necessary. I would love to make tunes and get products to everyone but when combining 3.5L Tacoma + 4.0L Tacoma + 5.7L Tundra.... there are simply too many of you guys that if I skip work for 1 weekend I get pretty far behind. And then non priority tickets don't get answered.

Hopefully in the future you'll take a second look at our software. You won't have to rely on us to use it or get tunes from it. You simply download, register, and use / tune as you wish, without constraints, locks, or waiting.

The issue I perceive is that some/many of us are just not competent enough to do our own tune and wanted something right out of the box to improve our trucks performance. Fully understand where you are coming from as an independent businessman. However, also do not think you would want to deal with a lot of people that download the tune available to tweak to their own standards and then screw it up and come looking for you to resolve their issues.

Anyone have a solution for me? I just picked up an old handheld and have a 2012 taco. I wiped the handheld and tried to pull data from my ECU and im getting "calibration file not found 30455000"

I believe this calibration has a ECU update from toyota that needs to be done first, updated to 30455100

You just need to update the handheld.

download our handheld software, plug the handheld in and let it update.

Been a while, honestly just put my kit to the side and now I'm finally getting around to using it. I purchased the tuner level kit year and a half ago. I already have the dongle and cable. How can I get the vftuner software to replace the EcuTek I was using beforehand. Is vftuner the software you were working on but didn't have settled yet? Can vftuner adjust maf tables as well?

Wanted to let everyone know that we are expected to have 4.0L Support in vF Tuner ready around the end of this month.

can you give a quick explanation on how switching to this from the original handheld programmer will be beneficial?

if I jump to VF, do I need to use handheld to return to stock tune first?

Sure, so the big thing is that we want everyone to be aware of, is that vF Tuner does not come with tunes.
So if you want to remain using our tunes, you don't need vF Tuner at all.

vF Tuner is a tuning suite / software tool that lets you create your own tunes. Similar to HPTuners, for example. It gives you all the maps / tables / definitions / flashing / datalogging, etc.
but you must make your own tunes from it.
