Even better when a vendor is paying for it... (I'm in the private sector, so rules are likely a little looser)

Problem is Toyota was super vague on the phone and sort of forced my hand in calling insurance to be able to see the damages they were claiming, so by the time I was able to go under and see what they were highlighting, the freaking appraiser was out there with me. So now I have to cancel my claim and deal with that headache. I'll probably hop providers (was already planning to jump ship anyway, been with them for a year and going into year 2, time to go elsewhere).

Next truck I'll be babying. Next woods vehicle I will not be babying :D

It used to be very loose in my industry before my time (all inclusive fishing trips, sporting events, etc), now I just mooch the vendor for the most expensive lunch dessert :)

Most of my audits and visits that I host, they specifically are not allowed to let us pay for their meals. FAA/DOT rules.

Oh, it's a double standard for sure. Some auditors expect us to feed them (almost all don't expect a lot, pizza/burgers is fine, especially in our rural plants, waffle house is A-okay, work cafeteria in our bigger plants is fine). There's one (which I won't name) government we have a repair certification for which, culturally, expects a bit more than burgers and fries when they visit, we actually pay for the lodging and everything. But that expense is really small, since a lot of our repairs come from customers.

    Anyway, finance questions.
Let's say I own 1 share of VTI, fund is 0.04% per year.

    1. I own this through TD Ameritrade, no commissions, is there any other fee I'm missing in terms of owning this share, or do I just have only the 0.04%/year to Vanguard? Is there a fee to have it in TD instead of VG?

    2. Where does the fee come from? Do they scrape 0.04% off the dividends each quarter?

    Stupid question...

If you have a options contract with a company paying dividends do you get a piece of that pie too?

Depends on the risk you wanna take. Here’s what I bought while the market was down:

    TRTX: 94% gain
    NRGU: 17% gain
    ERX: 17% gain
    NAIL: 3% gain
GPMT: 26% loss (holding for dear life)
CCL and UAL are losses so far but holding long, should be ballin later. Threw $100 at MITI as a gamble

Dang I bought FUN at $18 and sold quickly bc I was not in a good investor frame of mind at the time lol if CCL’s booking numbers are accurate (up 600%) i think it’s a good buy, people are going to flock to amusement parks once govt allows it
