Any ideas on how to dampen the muffler/exhaust sound without having to tear out the interior of the truck.? Anything out there that can be used underneath the truck ?

Yes but it’s not recommended. Undercoatings like that tend to hide any damage such as rust and can even decrease the value of your truck

It's called a helmholtz resonator. And it is welded going backwards of the exhaust with a cap at the end of it so you can make maximum noise as well as enjoying drone free exhaust. Also, you want to weld the muffler as far away from the exit as possible, this tones down droning and further negates it from happening in the first place.

Huh, do you have an exhaust leak or aftermarket? These things are quiet as a church mouse from the factory.

Yep, most seem to think they are too quite, if anything.

This is the first I've heard anyone complain of exhaust noise. These trucks have incredibly quiet stock mufflers.

I added a Flow Master Cat-Back Dual Exhaust. I had previously added a Super 50 Series Flow Master Muffler and had no real noise issue. Now that the Super 50 with dual is on, she's a bit loud. Made some adjustments at lunch... Should help, other wise i'll just use dampener fabric in the storage spaces under and behind the back seat.

I was gonna do the dual exhaust route as well but was worried about the drone. Im glad i went with borla, not too loud and not too quiet. Also, no drone when cruising.

The only time its a bit loud in lower rpms is when going uphills, like mountain passes, other than that, i love it.

Sounds like you need to throw your stock exhaust back on then if you don't like the sound.
