Yup. Both uppers and lowers...though like Bob showed, sometimes the lowers (and uppers) need a bit more work.

Thats good. Just wanted ot make sure you werent planning on commuting via ferry every day. my mom did that for ~25 years on the Bremerton/Seattle route. Makes for long days, espcially when it backs up.

 

Check the beach access for where ever you want to go. Ocean Shores I believe still has the beach access blocked off

 

I said the same thing, threw out the usual reasons someone would just dump a truck that normally would fetch 2x that price. Rotten frame, salvage title, yada yada, but he says it's clear title and runs and drives straight down the road, just a prerunner package. Typical 10yr old Tacoma.

 

Maybe he is just telling you the "reported" value to the DOL and not the price he actually paid lol.

 

Shit for 4k I'd buy it and DD it and use the 4x4 for the weekend. Plus makes it easier to do projects because just when you tear into something you end up needing a part or replace something you didn't see coming

Welp I figured out why my truck felt like it was floating all the time and why the steering eventually got to be too dangerous that I didn't want to drive it anymore. There's only about 5 teeth left on the rack and pinion stub where the intermediate steering shaft connects.
That is wore the fuck out.

Only you would strip the splines on a steering box shaft.

 

Well I'm pretty sure it happened when I put the truck in a ditch at 25-30mph and broke the lower control arm at the ball joint. It never was the same after that.

Since then I've been running total chaos boxed lower arms. Now I just bend alignment tabs.
