Luckily the truck has the good radar in it. Escort Passport 360 Web/Wifi enhanced... Today I am commuting in my Accord coupe which only has the 9500i. Have come danger close to significant tickets 2 times so far in the last week. Friday dude behind me got popped after I used him as a buffer :D Slow lane averages 85mph+ lately.

So than you all reccomend in-visor ones from AVS? Was planning on this for my truck just mulling which would be best.

    Thanks

It depends. You going for looks? Then yes in channel. Don't want the channel felt destroyed (5 years +) & when windows down & vibrating @ 70 mph then get the stick on. Stick on are cheaper, but offer more space if you smoke. Here in the mountain snow, the stick on ones offer me more room to have the window cracked.

Want to be able to peel them back off to stock, then stick on is for you. I don't care for looks. Stick on ones were under $30 last back friday & I said fuck it. I recommend getting a window tint cause then they both look decent. In channel will always look "better" but the function does change with stick on being more bulky.

I do not smoke, but living in a beach town get lotsa rain and wind. There is no speed over 65 here and that is once you get in the boondocks (30a, 231, 22, etc). Speeds here average 45 or so and sometimes dip as low as 25 (20 in school zones).

So I went with the AVS due to price and it pretty much being the same damn thing as the competitors. With that said, get you rubbing alcohol and some paper towels to clean the inside the track of the windows outside and on top of what’s provided... I live in Texas so normal 85-90mph cruising is pretty typical with no issues.

    I much prefer stick-on.

I will try out the in -chanel ones. If they fail I will spend the $20 extra for the stick on. I had in-channel on my old 1998 Mazda B2500 standard cab and they lasted on it at least a year (only had it that long fore i sold it and got my Tacoma). Hopefully they will last for me since I rarely go over 65-70mph.

So mine have been doing pretty well. I’ve been watching for looseness like someone else mentioned. After installing then and having them for a while they’re stuck like chuck.

one thing I would suggest that I didn’t do because I was an excited man child to get them in, get extra alcohol and paper towels to clean in the channels.

my truck had the in-channel ones installed when I bought the truck and haven't had any issues whatsoever. I even pulled one out when I got locked out of my truck, just popped it back in later and still no issues.

My 08 had the double back tape ones when I bought it 11.
Still there and I use the touch car wash often.
    Mostly in the winter.
But seems whoever stuck them on did a good job!
My son has the in channel and I like mine more.
But I smoke as mentioned already.

I do think it’s a preference to which ones you like. The in channel just look so ergonomic & natural. But the stick on has room for functionality & a larger gap. Maybe the stick on arnt better in the rain? Im not on the East coast & we get 0 rain in Denver! :tumbleweed:

Got mine installed, also installed the seat covers though gotta cut out the belt buckles and headrest bases. Only bad thing is the steering wheel cover looks like it fits but can not get it round the wheel.
