Another one looking for a cover. One of my requirements is how quickly can it be removed and put back on. I don't fancy driving down the road with a trifold up against the rear window blocking the view. I've seen the Peregon (their installation video is pretty good). Any others come off and go back on without much fuss?

Another happy Lomax customer here - bought from @GotExhaust here. For a $5 difference, I'll go with someone who supports the site any day. And, their service is exceptional.

Thank you all for the kind words. Apparently they caught wind of our pricing and cut theirs to beat us. We do price match if/when possible. Please give us a chance to earn your business. Support a supporting vendor of this forum! Remember if their name isn't in the vendor section they aren't a paying supporting member/vendor of the forum.

Really can complain about the stock 6' toyota tonneau cover that came with the truck....its a bit heavy to remove, but so far it functions well. I think if you can find someone selling theirs as a takeoff you'd be happy.

Check out the Lund Genesis Elite, soft trifold. I am very happy with mine. I've had it over 2 years. Still perfect. Easy on and easy off. Clamps onto bedrail system. No drillings, etc. Made with high-end convertible top material which is manufactured in USA by Haartz Co. Sold by many vendors, including Amazon. About $300.

I have a soft tri fold, but in hindsight, I think I should've got a roll up cover. See, I plan on purchasing a bed rack and they sell some that go over tonneau covers, but tri fold covers can't fully open with them, whereas a roll up would. Just food for thought if you're eventually planning on adding a bed rack!

I’ve had a Peragon on 3 trucks and they do what they say . Customer service is awesome also .
Make sure a get the quick install brackets if you buy. Makes everything a whole lot easier.

I’m getting a Diamondback cover this time around as needs have changed .

Another vote for LoMax. I've had mine for a year no complaints.

The lomax comes off in under a minute. Pull the cord in the back, flip the two sections open, lock them open, remove saftey clips and pull another cord and its off. That's it. Takes longer to climb in and out of the bed than to remove it.

The Diamondback looks to be the most secure cover on the market. I just couldn't justify the pretty penny they cost and I also needed something I could haul things with the cover folded back towards the cab. Enjoy the Diamondback and let us know your thoughts when you use it for a while - I've heard nothing but great things!

I'll echo the ease of removal of the Lomax. I just made a shopping trip using the truck - combination of a run to the hardware store for water softener salt and then the grocery store. Folded the top back for the salt load and then put the groceries back towards the tailgate and put the cover back in place for the ride home in the rain. Perfect!

@GotExhaust is responsive, has great service...and they'll price match, if possible. I'm happy to support a vendor who supports the page!

Have you had any rain since you put it on? If so, any water in the bed? What did you do with the drains?

We've had rain. And I haven't noticed any rain in the bed. The drains have tube already installed on them (short ones). However, for lack of better terms, the give you tube/drain extenders that would go into the drain holes you would drill into the bed.

Also here is a video with another install where he does install the drains. Skip to about the 3 minute mark and go from there.

Thanks, just wondering how wet it gets inside. I know they say weather resistant and expect to have some when it rains.

Truxedo ProX15, went on in about 15 mins, rolls up out of the way when I need to have a truck again and comes off with a quick release. I chose this one because I run an Alu-Cab Khaya truck camper and this cover keeps the mounting system covered and pops right off when I want to install it. Super low profile and easy to use. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
