That was me last year. Slow as hell on the climbs. Last one to the top every time.

Seriously, though, they won't give you (too much) shit for it...:D

    Awesomeness
No sweat man. We’ll all just be looking to have a good time. I’m the opposite. The ups don’t present issues, but I’ll likely be one of the last down.

Interesting. Why do you say that? Do you not like going downhill?

On the contrary. I’ll pedal for the downs just as much as the next person. My standard terrain pales in comparison to what you’ll encounter in WNC. So it’s more to do with comfortability. First couple downs to get the gitters out. Start easing off on the brakes as the miles increase.

I will admit that I like a tasty fast old school XC single track more than some. By today’s standard that seems to label me as a pedal preferential rider :notsure:

That makes sense. I don’t have much biking experience so all I am exposed to so far is basically 100% technical. So if I’m choosing technical up, flat, or down....I’m going down every time.

FYI- the Pinhoti Trails are pretty old school with a tiny bit of flow.

Does old school mean the trail cuts between trees that are only 550 mm apart?

That looks like a normal bike, but a bit bent. Actually a lot bent.
