Those 17 -10s? Or 16 -12s? They're gonna look great on the truck mate!

Going with a 265/75 for now or are ya gonna take the plunge and go all out with the 285s? I keep bouncing around the idea of going 285 but eh....not sure I want to do the work just yet.

I’m going with 265-75-16. The 285s look great, but I’ve also seen plenty 265’s and when mounted on the right wheel, they look plenty beefy on only a 2-2.5” lift. Plus, it saves some cutting, performance, mpg’s, etc.

    1) On the trimming part, keep in mind this is the trimming I did to fit my wheels & tires BEFORE I did the lift. You may not have to do any trimming, or something less than I did. Pics below
    2) It seemed like more of a range of lift that you would get with the AAL, anywhere from 1.5-2.5 depending on brand, progressive, single, overload in or out, etc. I figured I’d do the block and get a known amount of lift, then maybe change to AAL later when I figured out the setup I wanted. If I upgrade to AAL now, I would do the HS 3 leaf also. It seems to be the right amount of lift to go with the bottom front setting to me...just preference.

here are a couple of the front trimming, one is from underneath(front of wheel well). I did drill a new hole and move the front of the black plastic wheel well liner forward about half an inch but again, that was with no lift.

The 285 BFG KO2s are badass looking tires and I love how they look, but be forewarned they ride like CRAP.

Tomorrow around 12 it will be done. Figured a Toyota tech can do it in 2/2.5 hrs for the lift and 1 hour to remove the Duratracs 265/70-17 with 4000 miles and remount on the pro rims. And alignment Atleast I hope so. Haha. We will see. If it goes over I’m still good on the time quote.

The 285s only came in a load range E, and thats why they ride so poorly. I wasnt able to find any 285s in C load range (which was what I had hoped for). But they look awesome so thats what I tell myself everytime Im bouncing around:D

I was interested in the leveling kit that comes with the takeoff suspension, I'll see If op responds.
