This is what I and many others have used. Worked fine for me, I don’t have pictures but there are plenty in this thread. Already has adhesive on it, just cut to fit, slap it on, and cut notches where the brackets are. I threw the one that came with the grill away as soon as I opened the box because I had this one ready. Lol

Thank you buddy! Yeah I’m going to go through this thread tonight. Seems like I’m having some of the same issues others have had. With the seal, and the fit. Mine sticks up above the hood and there’s a gap. Thanks for your help.

I actually removed the plastic clips that the grille pops into (they’re on the bracket for the headlights). I drilled a hole in the part of the grille that pops into that bracket on the headlights so I could zip tie them together. I’ll take a pic and post it...that should make it fit flush

Thank you. Yeah I just went through all 29 pages of this and seen some ideas I’m going to do. Just ordered the tailgate weather stripping. Going to replace the 2 clips on the top with a nut, bolt, washer set up. And at the bottom with the light lip I seen someone drill a hole into the bracket on the grill to slide the clips up through. OR just take them out completely.

still having a headlight issue on the drivers side. My marker light isn’t lighting so I’m getting a new socket when I pulled it there was a rattling noise. Hoping that fixes that issue.

You mean the small single LED sidemarker on the side or the DRL?

Yeah the side marker. Which lights up that white bar on the light. Passenger side lights fine but not the drivers. And that’s the only light that doesn’t turn on. The headlights/high beams and turn signal all work fine. Just the side marker and the white bar. When I pulled it there’s an internal rattling in the marker socket so I’m thinking it’s that. It’s an $8-10 piece just waiting to hear back from my local Toyota dealership.

Yep I had to remove the clips as well and made a huge difference. I also flipped the bracket upside down which seemed to help as well. Looks great when it’s done but does need some adjusting. Overall for the price I’m happy with it.

If you don’t mind can you show me the brackets? I ordered the maxseal so I’m going to re adjust the grille when I receive that. Would like to have some ideas to try as well as to reference if you wouldn’t mind. I do know I’m going to replace those 2 clips up top.

Check post #554 as I am not near my truck currently. All I did was flip the main brackets upside down. Had to trim a little bit so the bracket would still sit flush on the frame of the truck but worked much better, at least for me.

Thanks again. I’ll post some updated pics. Ordered the maxseal last night. So, I’ll do it all at once. Plus my marker socket will be in tomorrow at Toyota. So, hopefully that fixes my light issue.

Just out of curiosity did you try unplugging the side marker and turning the plug 180 deg and plugging back in?

I am assuming the side marker lights worked before you installed the new headlights.

I didn’t try that I will though. I got a new marker socket from Toyota on Friday and it still won’t light. Yeah it worked before. Just stopped when I plugged these in. Weird as hell.

Spyders. Got them off Tacoma Beast. Just go to the headlight section I believe it’s the only headlight they offer for that generation.

Led lights are polarity dependent and if they don't work once plugged in then they should work if the polarity is reversed.

I love these headlights, is the LED “C” shape thingy actually bright enough to run in the daytime?
