Didn’t do any fishing. Just hung out on the boat and did a lot of driving around. Wife’s family has a cottage on the lake East of Conneaut

Yes they did get a little bit. I saw a video where some yard crew was mowing and weed eating a yard as snow was falling. I always say it’s a NY thing most down here wouldn’t understand. Lol It’s not the first time I have seen videos like that.

My family was hit by that snow storm in November a few years back, 73” of snow in 72 hours.

This is why I can't wait to move either to the upstate or the mountains of Tennessee. I hate Columbia for this reason. And the people! :D But to be fair, I hate people in general. And they "seem" more racist in the upstate. :anonymous:

That is the south in general. I love SC but it was kinda nice to get away from all that.

Honestly it doesn't seem that bad down here in Columbia. With a more diverse population comes more getting along. Sure, I still here the occasional words but that's all it amounts to. And the upstate is pretty white. :D

I see where you're coming from though. It would be nice to get away and get a different perspective.

I lived in Columbia and Greenville. Columbia started off downtown, then Rosewood, then back downtown. Greenville started off a few miles north of downtown then ended up downtown two blocks from work for cheaper. Columbia’s outer areas are just as bad as Greenville’s outer area. I preferred Greenville for weather, food options, more dog friendly, better downtown, close to the mountains, housing was cheaper, cheaper vehicle tax, etc. If I was having a bad day, I’d drive up to Horsepasture road and lay in the hammock for a few hours, it was great. Or take my dog swimming at Keowee. Adventuring solo (or with doggo) is good for the soul. Most of my friends were back in Columbia but I was more independent and happy in Greenville.

I’ve traveled to nearly every little town in SC, some towns I’d suggest visiting, some not so much. I should make a list of tiny little restaurants in the middle of nowhere that I loved. Been to a lot of the parks all over the state as well.

Not bad. Getting my 2nd cup of coffee on this cool and cloudy day.

The only hash I ever ate came from here. They used to do breakfast buffets on Saturdays and my army buds from Augusta would always meet me there. Not sure if they still do the breakfast deal.

Not sure why google shows permanently closed. They’re doing to-go food during the pandemic. I follow them on IG, they’re still open. Best food in the state.

I’ll have to dig deeper into my brain to come up with others. Not sure I’m ready for that today.
