    Hey y’all,

I need to get a brake controller installed in my 2020 TRD OR and have a couple of question around install details. I’m planning to get a REDARC Tow-Pro Elite as it seem to be a good product and the cleanest install I’ve seen.

    Two questions:
What wiring harness is required to interface with the tow-ready a 2020 TRD OR (I cannot find further info)?
Is the TPSI-001 switch insert the one that fits in the below hole?

I don't know about the wire harness, but fitting the switch should be easy. If the switch is too big, grab your deemed or even just sandpaper and carefully make the hole bigger.
One of the switch’s Amazon reviews says that there is a YouTube tutorial as well.

Here's what i did in my sequoia. Easy and straightforward. As mentioned above there's not direct wire harness for redarc. You will have to create one.

Love it. Did you use one of their inserts or did you just drill the blank?

I used Tekonsha 3031-S wiring harness, couple of crimps and ready to go. Easy Peasy.
I drilled it into the spot where your yellow arrow starts, out of the way and i needed the you guys have used for Meso Customs custom panel for lighting etc.

    Great little brake controller.

I have a spare never used 3031-S in the garage, still in it's wrapper. I'd sell it to you if interested.

<edit> I think this may work for that spot. There's also a seller on Shapeways that sells a cubby replacement, but you don't appear to have the cubby. Heck, now that I think about it I might have the switch plug too!

I just installed the Redarc today. Very nice install. I did notice however in my 2020 Sport that the factory brake control harness has the BLACK and BLUE wire swapped from the Tekonsha harness. Testing confirmed however that the factory BLUE is 12 volt positive and the BLACK is apparently the lead for the trailer brakes. Anyone else see this or can take a pic of their connection?

How long did the install take (I suspect not very). I ask because of an estimate received for 2.5 hours of install labor; which seems absurd and something I'll likely do myself.

2.5 hours? I’d think under an hour for sure. More like 20 minutes if you know what your doing.

I’d say 1.5 hours start to finish if you’re going to do a nice bit of solder work and heat shrink to connect the pigtail to your RedArc, swap your cubby mount, tuck and zip tie all your wiring nice and clean, etc.

I would agree with an hour to hour and a half.

That was easy. What a clean install. Everything mounted and tucked in so nicely in the 2020.

Is that the same size button adapter that would be needed for the size like the wireless charger?

Where'd you attach the actual brake controller box?

I've got one of the wireless ones but plan to change to the Redarc since I've had a few issues with the wireless one disconnecting randomly - not cool.
