All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
For that deal if you can get two I would most definitely take it.

Not so, the fine print says deal is limited to 4 a member.

AL or GA side? I went to Carollton, GA a few days ago to pick up a silver door and fender for my 2nd gen. Was the biggest junkyard I ever seen in my life!

I'm not sure if it would work for you but I take my kayak out on lake hartwell and camp on one of the islands in the lake. It's pretty fun.

I’ve never ridden out there before; can my hardtail handle it (without punching my spine through my neck)? Not that I’m a fast rider by any means.

I noticed everyone in the OP’s pic having nicer full suspension bikes, didn’t know if my lowly Roscoe 7 would fit in. Haha.

It’s not the bike, it’s the rider. Would a hardtail be my tool of choice for Pisgah/DuPont? No. But that’s not to say it can’t be done.

Honestly though, it’ll be a good time. There are several shops in the area that rent/demo bikes that would handle the terrain better than a hardtail. IMHO I’d go that route if I were in your position, assuming you want to go.

If I don’t have my new bike put together by then, I’ll be renting/demoing.

You’d dig DuPont and Bent Creek. People ride Pisgah on hard tails but it’s not my cup of tea. Lot more roots. Consider renting a FS bike for Pisgah. Sycamore (hands down the best shop!), the Hub( popular but pretentious- more of a snooty roadie vibe even though it’s a MTB shop), or Squatch Bikes ( newest shop, I stopped by when they just opened, everyone seemed nice). Gotta get a beer at Brevard Brewing on Main Street, cheapest brewery around and good folks.
