Custom home-built trailer for sale. Trailer was built buy a guy and his father in California as a home project. Currently registered and titled in California on permanent registration. Buyer will need to transfer title into their name. Great base platform to build a camping trailer or use for utility. Roof top tent would mount perfectly on the crossbars (not shown but come with). Tires are 265/75/16 with Toyota 6 lug bolt pattern. Trailer tows flat with a Tacoma on 33” tires with plenty of clearance and perfect for off-road.


I don’t know the weight exactly, but it is not heavy at all. I can pick up the tongue and move it around no problem. Tows like a dream.

THE BAD: Trailer wiring needs fixed. I tried replacing the plug only to find that the whole harness was corroded, so I removed it all back to the lights. Trailer comes with 2 brake lights and 2 signal lights front corner. The lights work just fine, but the trailer needs to have a new harness installed. New harness will come with the trailer along with the flexible woven wire loom. I had planned to do it before selling, but I picked up a job on short notice and won't be able to finish it.


Trailer dimensions and details

Interior box 45”w x 69” L x 24”h (about 82" diagonally)

Trailer is welded together, not bolted.

Removable tailgate on hinge pins

5/8” tie down eyes along outside upper edge of box. 3 per side 1 in front

Exterior of box is overall 48”W x 27.5” h x 72” L

Fenders stick out 10” each side 12” including tire poke

Two Yakima crossbars mounted across top of box but no keys for locks (not shown but currently installed)

Tongue length 52-1/4” to center of ball 54” overall

Overall length 126”

Box lip is 3”x1”. Overhangs 1.5” to outside

Steel framing and sides. Plywood deck. All coated in bedliner.

Lol I'm the one who said it. That comment was in reference to @Kidwidataco. He is the one on the left coast, which is indeed, the opposite from the right coast, Virginia, where I am located.

Ok, awesome trailer, do you happen to know how hard it is to transfer it if the buyer is in a state, like mine, where a title is needed? If not, no problem, I do not expect you to know everyone else's situations. I just always see great trailers and deals on here, but out of state.

 

I have a california title for it. Shouldn't be hard to do, just a title transfer at the DMV. As long as you have a bill of sale I think it works just fine. Obviously it's worth looking into for your particular state.

 

Is the Cali Title in your name? Or is it a bill of sale from them to you, and then from you to buyer, currently? Thanks! I am looking in to this.

 

I believe it is in my name. At least it should be. I'd have to check. It's been a few years.

@VirusCage I did check the title and it is in my name. California title. Shouldn’t be an issue to draw up a bill or sale and get it transferred over.
