There used to be cap to make your truck look like a 4runner.
Here is mine with that cap.

I heard that actual 4Runners suffered suspension issues from the weight of the rear top...

Yep when I seen the pic of the critter I was like I know that truck was at bloomsburg. That was some good times. When they used to have burnouts in the center of town.i got videos of that around somewhere.

Great thread! I'm new to this site as I recently bought a Tacoma but have owned a '93 T100 since 1995 (it was and still is my first car/truck). Everything still works on mine, although my suspension is fairly custom (I installed larger Sway Away Torsion's and a Firestone Ride Rite air spring set-up in the rear twenty years ago). I did have the engine rebuilt last year and had the A/C compressor replaced probably five years ago. It's never lived in a garage so four years ago it got re-painted. I had the roof done in black to break-up the whole work truck vibe it had. Most people seem to dig it, i don't worry much about the ones which don't. In the beginning it was my 'do everything' vehicle (daily driver, camping, off-roading, hauling, towing) but over the years I've acquired other vehicles which do those things for me. Now it primarily gets used for errands and once in a while I toss an ATV in the back and go to the desert. I absolutely love mine! It fits me like my favorite pair of boots (and smells much like them too J/K). Here are a couple of pics:

Fresh from getting detailed. Yes those are FJ wheels

The old man and the new guy. The T100 took it's rightful place back in the driveway shortly after this pic was taken LOL!

I beat The Last of Us Part II the other day, and in the final part of the game, I found this truck that strongly reassembles a Toyota T-100...

This part of the game takes place in a post-pandemic Santa Barbara, California in the spring of 2039; This poor Toyota has been sitting since late 2013! :(

If I remember correctly, it was sitting in the compound of a hostile group called “The Rattlers”...
