If you find yourself in the bay area and want to "kidnap" @Motofox and bring him back to CO so we can go camping, be pretty cool.

Most of Weld county’s cases come from JBS and nursing homes. Larimer county is also highly from nursing homes, as is the rest of the country.
As of 5/2: 11 of Larimer County’s 19 deaths were people 85+ years of age. 9 of those 11 were from nursing homes.

As of 5/2: 420 of the 762 (66.98%) deaths in the state of CO were 75+ years of age. From nursing homes, there were 425 confirmed deaths and 112 probable deaths. If you just count the actual that’s 55.77%. If you count both actual and probable that’s 70.5%.

Keep in mind that 17,000 die daily in nursing homes nationwide from all assortments of reasons.

And don’t forget the padding of the numbers even Dr. Brix is now calling the CDC out on. (Source: Washington Post)

The 44 counties within 100 miles of NYC account for more than 50% of the nation’s total deaths. I do not have the actual number from nursing homes because I didn’t have time to dig that deep.

Cleary these numbers are sad and point to an older demographic or a highly dense populated region/work environment. None of these include people with underlying health conditions as I didn’t have time to dig that deep. Math is math, there hasn’t been one death reported by the state of CO as of 5/2 under 44 years of age. Instead of dumping trillions of dollars into a black hole, wouldn’t that be money better spent protecting the ones who actually need protecting? Wouldn’t focusing quarantine on the ones most vulnerable be a better option than locking down everyone? With all the data out now and the conclusions it’s showing, it’s time for this to be over for the young, healthy workforce. This isn’t a young persons disease. You may get ill, but unless you’re obese, have hypertension or suffer from pulmonary or respiratory issues, you will most likely survive.

Full disclosure: my 85 year old uncle contracted the disease in an assisted living facility while recovering from hip surgery. He’s had multiple heart surgeries and has smoked his entire life. He goes home today. Full recovery. :notsure::thumbsup:

There has been a Colorado death of a 21 year old college baseball player in Colorado Springs. This from KKTV..-A 21-year-old college student may be the youngest person to have died from complications tied to COVID-19 in Colorado as of Wednesday. Cody Lyster played baseball for Colorado Mesa University. He was in Aurora when he passed away. School officials do not believe he contracted the virus while on the school's campus. He was pursuing his degree in criminal justice.

Could be, and if so that’s sad. It’s still a maybe according to the report. Could come out that he died with it in his system, but not from it. We’ll see. Regardless of how sad it is, he is an outlier to the actual numbers we have access to. Feel bad for his family. I played baseball at CMU. I’m going off of actual data supplied by the state health department to the CDC as of 5/2. Not spinning this, just posting the actual data as of 5/2.

This what everybody is wrapped up in. Spin and fear spread by the media. I’d rather take some time and dig into actual data supplied by the health depts. It’s as easy as google. I’ll believe the numbers/data before I’ll believe anything I see on TV regardless of what side that media is on.

Still sad to see a 21 yr old die, regardless of the reason. RIP fellow Maverick!

Pulled straight off of the CDC website and the CO health dept. You can disagree with me, but not the actual numbers and statistics being reported by health agencies. The Washington Post is hardly a down the middle reporting agency. I only used that source because I was shocked they were putting out something that goes against against the/their narrative.

if you really want to dig into all the health problems associated to COVID-19, consider this...
The US reported a 4.something loss to GDP in Q1. Healthcare attributed almost half of that loss. What does that mean? Because they put a stop to elective surgeries hospitals were losing revenue and laying off doctors and nurses. Elective surgeries aren't penile and breast enlargements. They include cancer treatments, treatments for stroke and heart patients and other serous life threatening issues. How many casualties are we going to see from that? What about the mental health issues this has caused due to loss of employment?

TLDR: my math isn’t crap. It’s accurate. Just because it doesn’t jive with your narrative doesn’t make it inaccurate.
