I wouldn’t have minded that except I have no space on that side. This is actually one of the first mods I did when I got the truck and have had no problems whatsoever. So glad I did it, the mess oil changes caused before this was a nightmare

There was one guy who merged the sheet metal from a third gen tailgate with the recessed letters into his 1st gen tailgate.
Not sure what thread it's in but it was pretty cool and unique.

Not sure about the fill in stickers like that though

Maybe I'll get hit with the double post, but I added indicator lights to my clusters to tell me if my backup light or front off road lights are on.

I'm not sure how unique this mod is... haha.

I've been working on a temperature sensor kit for my differentials, just something to tinker on that I thought would be a cool mod to have. Going to make an OLED gauge to mount somewhere on the cluster to show front and rear temps and flash if they get too high.

I always wanted to try and integrate the cluster from the column shift tacoma that has the shift indicator lights there, but that would require some custom wiring and tapping into the shift position sensor.

That would be cool. When I moved to Maryland, I had to get my rig safety inspected. They failed me because I was "missing a shifter position indication in the cluster". Took me 10 minutes of convincing the "safety inspector" that there never was that in the cluster, nothing was actually missing, and the shift position indicator was next to the shifter. That's my story.... then I found $20 dollars.

I was thinking that it would be only for 1st gens at first but after looking into it the trucks use the same filler plugs all the way up to 2019. I don't have a solution to read the temp from any stock sensors yet. So if your truck already has a transmission temp sensor I would need to have an OBDII connection but that is not planned for the first version.

    Fancy
i dont believe it would be too hard. but you would need to find a cluster that had the center shift lights and then wire up the connector. and swap the tach if it was a 4 cylinder and you have a v6.

How would you swap the tach? I thought you had to swap the whole cluster to change it.

the stepper motor board can be swapped pretty easily. you have to take the gauge faces off and i think 3 screws.
